Roseta (Tarsia Homes & Suites)

The roseta, which means flower, was a particular weakness for Minoan civilization as flowers are found in many imposing murals, carved vessels and jewelry of the time. The roseta Holiday home is located on the ground floor of the complex. It is particularly decorated with vintage floral aesthetics. This charming home its only 15 meters from the beach and 4 minutes by feet from the center of the village. The space The patio in the back provides a unique place to relax; enjoy reading a book in the hammock, listen to the soothing sound of the waves or enjoy a cool glass of Cretan wine and grilled meat on the barbeque. The interior of the house (90m2) consists of an open kitchen, dining room and living room, bathroom with shower, master bedroom with double bed and second bedroom with 2 single beds. The sofa in the living room can be transformed to a double bed. Facilities: Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, toaster, microwave, oven, coffeemaker, kettle, kitchen utensils, Towels and bed linen, changed every 3-4 days, washing machine, air conditioning in all the rooms, fire place, SAT-TV (Astra), WiFi connection, free parking area, barbeque. The house is located only 3 minutes walking from the center where you can find a (mini)market, bakery, some touristic shops and a public swimming pool. The beach and the beach road with lots of taverns and cafe's is only 20meters away. In the area there are many picturesque villages worth a visit and outstanding natural paths for hiking. Roseta is an ideal starting point for trips to the villages of Matala (11km) or Agia Galini (25km) and to archeological places like Phaistos, Agia Triada or Gortyna. The bigger cities of Timbaki and Mires where you can find post office, banks, bookstores and bigger supermarkets (Lidl, Carrefour,..) are within a 20km radius. In Mires you can also visit the biggest market in the area on Saturdays (Timbaki on Fridays). In the neighboring village Kamilari there is a small market every Sunday where the locals present their products. You can find here many biological products, fruits and vegetables as well as extra virgin olive oil. The city of Heraklion is about 70km from Kalamaki.
