This Grade II listed home was once part of the Old Windsor Tapestries factory, dating back to 1876, when artisans here restored Queen Victoria’s treasured tapestries. The quiet grace of that past mingles easily with the comforts of today, making it a warm, characterful base just minutes from Windsor Castle. Sleeping arrangements Four bedrooms are spread across three floors, each with its own distinct feel. The first floor holds two King bedrooms, soft-lit and restful. Up on the second floor, a Double bedroom sits beneath sloped ceilings, while the ground floor offers a Single bedroom for anyone wanting a quieter corner. A sofa bed in the living room adds sleeping space for two more, bringing total capacity to 9 guests across 5 beds. Living space The lounge is built for settling in on cooler evenings - a deep corner sofa, a widescreen Smart TV with Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, Disney+, and YouTube, and plenty of room to gather. The dining table seats up to ten, ideal for a shared meal after a day at Windsor Castle or LEGOLAND. Kitchen & dining The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at your own pace: a stainless steel electric stove, Bertozzoni double oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, hot water kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cooking basics, dishes, and silverware you’d need. Wine glasses and a dining table make it easy to turn any night into an occasion. Bathrooms Two bathrooms bring calm to the start or end of your day, each with a bathtub, hair dryer, and Neal’s Yard shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. A separate ground-floor toilet adds convenience when the house is full. Outdoor living The courtyard garden is a private spot for morning coffee at the outdoor dining table or an evening barbecue, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill on hand. The private hot tub - available all year from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM for £150 per stay - is a particularly good match for autumn evenings. Beyond the courtyard, the wider grounds of The Tapestries offer garden views and a sense of quiet space to wander. Amenities & essentials Two private parking spaces sit in the on-site garage, alongside fast Wi-Fi (73 Mbps) and a dedicated workspace in a common area. The home is dog-friendly. You’ll also find free washer and dryer access, towels and bed linens, room-darkening shades, an iron, and safety essentials including smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and exterior security cameras at the front door and garden entrance. Location Set within the historic grounds of the former Old Windsor Tapestries factory, the house sits in a peaceful enclave surrounded by gardens. Windsor Castle is five minutes away, LEGOLAND three miles, and Lapland UK seven miles. Traditional pubs, walks along the Thames, and the calm of Old Windsor make this a comfortable base for exploring the area as the seasons turn. Other things to note RULES: *This property is not suitable for parties! *This is a breach of house rules & will result in immediate removal from the property via security and no refund, your deposit may be used towards extra costs in removing you. This house is in a quiet area, so after 10 pm, the quiet times are to be respected. *We have a strict NO-SMOKING indoors policy at our properties. A standard charge of £1000 will be charged to your card when we find evidence of smoking within the accommodation to cover cleaning costs and long-lasting damage on the property. *Any loud music, parties, and smoking indoors will also result in immediate removal from the accommodation as we will be highlighted via our noise and air monitoring systems located in the property. *For stays longer than a week, additional housekeeping can be arranged for a further fee. *We have a blink ring door camera outside at the front door of the property overlooking the front porch and another at the back of the house overlooking the car park, this is for the safety of our guests and the property. It must not be tampered with at any time. We require completion of our reservation form which includes an agreement to our T&Cs, provision of a government-issued photo ID, and a card pre-authorisation of £395 for potential damage, loss or lack of adherence to our T&Cs. We will not charge an amount from the £395 unless upon checkout there is evidence of damage, loss, or lack of adherence to our T&Cs. EXTRAS: If you require an extra night or wish to extend your booking, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can make sure the dates are available and book you in. Need a late check-out? Send us a message & we will do out best to arrange it for you. HOT TUB We are excited to announce that we will adding a HOT TUB to the beautiful courtyard garden from mid July 2025. It will seat up to 5 people max. It is an optional extra at £150 per stay which can added via the Airbnb resolution centre after booking. Our guests are welcome to use it if they wish. We understand that not all guests want to use a hot tub, so we do not include it in the price. PARKING: The property benefits from having 2 free private parking space directly outside the house. There is free street parking on the road and near-by streets also, should you need to park more than one car. ADDITIONAL CLEANING POLICY: To ensure we maintain the property's high standards and maximise guest experience, we require weekly cleaning and linen changeovers for long-term bookings (10+ night’s stay) at an additional cost.
