Cozy tent in the middle of the cork oaks

With our tent, nestled inside a cork oak forest, you can reconnect with nature without compromising comfort. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and eat a delicious breakfast in our outdoor space with local/organic products (included in the price). Monte Amadia is in a quiet and convenient location, 25 minutes from the pristine beaches of Vilanova de Milfontes/Porto Covo. Everything here was made by us, with love and 99% natural materials, so you can disconnect :) The space Surrounded by cork oaks on a private 12-hectare plot, our tent is a 20-minute drive from the beautiful coast of Vilanova de Milfontes and Porto Covo. 10 minutes to the west is the small town of Cercal do Alentejo, with all the essentials and some restaurants and cafes. The hot water in the nearby showers (30 meters from the tent) comes from our stone well and is heated by solar panels. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and 2 toilets, shared by 4 bedrooms. The lighting of the composting bathrooms and showers at night is done by solar LED lamps to avoid light pollution. We believe there are few things as inspiring as looking at a star-filled sky... The double bed comfortably accommodates two people. Intentionally, there is no Wifi in the rooms. If you need it, we'll be happy to connect you in the outdoor bistro area :) Monte Amadia respects the fundamental ecological principles of a smaller ecological footprint and minimal disturbance to the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Other things to note We will serve a fresh breakfast (organic, local products) to our guests, included in the nightly price. We also serve a tasty dinner (extra) upon request. If you don't feel like going to the beach, just take a dip in our lake... Saturday is pizza day at Monte Amadia, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It's like a small pop-up restaurant for our guests and locals (Portuguese and foreigners living nearby). Our guests are very welcome to come and savor our delicious pizzas, made with local products in our wood-burning oven, as well as homemade desserts, all in a family and friendly atmosphere.
