You'll love our cabin in the woods! Once a historic mercantile, the Wissahickon Cabin has been transformed into a cozy cabin for 2 - 4 guests. The cabin is situated in the forest and visible from the Gandy Dancer Trail. The front porch boasts an access path directly to the popular Woolly Bike Trail. Our cabin is secluded in the woods, but it's less than a 5-minute drive to downtown St Croix Falls, Interstate Park, dining, shopping, and entertainment. Enjoy a peaceful getaway in the north woods! The space The cabin is one room with a bedroom, a small dining area, and a living room space. In addition to the queen-sized bed, the couch has a fold-out air mattress that can accommodate up to 2 guests. It also boasts a grand bathroom area, complete with a jacuzzi tub. Enjoy relaxing on the front porch in a rocking chair. An antique-style gas fireplace adds to the cabin's romance and ambiance. A dresser and wardrobe provide ample storage space for your stay. The kitchen has a Keurig, a microwave, and a mini fridge for your convenience. Guest access You will enjoy having the entire cabin to yourself. Other things to note The cabin is on our personal property of 30 acres. Our personal home is also on the property, though the cabin is secluded. Please note - due to the historical nature of the cabin's construction and to comply with Polk County fire code, open flame wax candles are not allowed inside the property. Battery-powered artificial candles are permitted. Additionally, no smoking, vaping, or incense burning is permitted inside. Please pay special attention when using the sofa sleeper bed by making sure the control cord is safely away from the bed frame. The sofa mattress is a hybrid spring/air system with a control cord for inflating/deflating the mattress. If the control cord is hanging near the frame of the bed when it is folded back for storage, the frame hinges may accidentally slice the cord causing permanent damage to the air control system.
