We are conveniently located just about 5 minutes from 80, midway between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe. 40 minutes to skiing! Stay at the snow line! The space Our guesthouse has a - treehouse meets relaxing spa vibe. Perched high on a hill above a separate garage, the many windows look out to the trees and mountain views in all directions. In addition to amazing views, our fabulous guesthouse features: 🛁 Soaking tub and separate shower 🧺 Full size washer and dryer 🛏️ A new memory foam queen bed with pillow options ❄️ Mini-split system to ensure the temperature stays comfortable whether it is snowing outside or the heat of the summer 🛋️ Comfortable Pottery Barn sofa and over sized chairs to relax on 📺 50 inch smart TV connected to YouTubeTV, Netflix and more 💡 Bedroom area has dimmable sconces on each side of the bed-great for reading, USB and power outlets that are easily accessible to charge all of your devices on both sides of the bed 🍷 The kitchen area has a wine fridge, fridge and freezer, filtered water, microwave, pizza oven, 2 burner electric hot plate, and InstantPot ☕️Coffee and tea bar with Keurig single serve, electric water kettle, Chemex - K-cups, filters, creamer, tea, sugar provided 🔥Propane fire pit and seating area on private deck with a view (propane provided) 🦗Propane Weber grill with a view and outdoor dining for 2 or 3 (propane provided) 🛏️ Queen Murphy Bed in the living room now sleeps up to two guests in a more comfortable and reliable way (not an air mattress). This space would be a great remote work retreat, getaway from the day-to-day grind of your home office and work with a view. Our guesthouse is a beautiful, spacious, and peaceful space and makes for an amazing solo or couples weekend getaway - explore some of the adorable mountain towns in the Sierra Nevada foothills, go skiing or just go visit the snow, go on a hike or bike ride, or just relax and enjoy. Check out our Guidebook for lots of ideas. We recently eliminated our cleaning fee and have included that in our nightly rate structure. To do this we - increased our nightly rate and added larger discounts for longer stays. Our nightly rate also includes the occupancy taxes that some hosts break out as a separate charge. We don't require guests to do chores! You are here for a vacation or getaway and we want you to enjoy every moment. Our check out instructions are very simple - leave the keys and send us a message being the primary requests. Guest access The guest house has a private parking area, private entrance and private deck. We live on the property in the main house. The guesthouse is a separate structure from the main house, above a separate garage. Guests are welcome to explore the property. We have a chicken coop and chickens as well as a large garden on the opposite side of the property. We look forward to sharing farm fresh produce with our guests! We have an herb garden, lots of seasonal veggies, we also have grapes and berries in our vineyard area, and fruit trees-peach, cherry and apple. There is a more private yard for guests and their pets - the area around our guest driveway. This yard is not fully fenced and the property is not fully fenced. We have a workout space (also with a view) in our main garage (attached to the main house) with treadmill, stationary bike, full weight bench system, some small hand weights and yoga mat. Available upon request. We also have a basketball hoop in the driveway. Ball(s) available upon request. Other things to note NEW No Cat Guests- we recently hosted our first cat guest and discovered we are allergic. Apologies to the cat parents- we can no longer host cats. 😿 Pets - We are pet friendly, but please let us know in your reservation of pets coming. Power outages - Sometimes the power goes out. We have no control over this and we will do our best to keep things running. Our internet - We believe is the best available in our rural area. We have Starlink and rarely experience interruptions in service. We are able to use this service to stream TV shows, take video calls, and more without any issues (for the most part).
