Come and enjoy our home in Henderson, West Auckland within walking distance of the palomino shops and a large lake. It’s away from the city noise and rush, yet easily accessible to Auckland central (18km) or the airport (32km). (approx. 30 minutes by car). Bus station is approx. a 9 min walk and the train station is approx. 3km away. If you have a car you can safely park it in our drive way, off the main road. The space We offer a friendly, family environment where you can relax and be yourself. We want our visitors to feel comfortable and at home. Guest access Guess can self check in anytime. You will have access to kitchen facilities. You have your own full Fridge/Freezer and cupboard with your own kitchen utensils but always welcome to use any others that you may need to use. The bathroom is your own private one to use and is next to the bedroom (ensuite like). We don't have a TV in the bedroom but you are very welcome to join us in the lounge to watch TV if you would like. During your stay Txt or whats app is a good form of contact Im happy to be contacted on. During your stay, we are happy to interact with guests as much or as little as they like. We are very happy to give advice on places to visit etc. Other things to note The Accommodation This bedroom is downstairs with a queen size firm bed, desk and wardrobe. Bedding and towels are provided.. Use the kitchen if you wish, saving money on eating out. Free wireless internet is available. Make a hot drink any time of the day as tea, coffee and sugar is complimentary. We are non-smokers so ask you to smoke outside past the Letter box. Local Attractions Piha is approx. 25-30 minutes by car which boost amazing scenic views of New Zealand. I recommend when travelling out there to visit Piha Beach, Kitekite falls (a beautiful waterfall) and also completing the Mercer Loop, (beautiful bush and coastal walk). Directions Transport options from Airport Uber/taxi – takes around 30-40 minutes. Download the Moovit app and you will have full timetables for the public bus, train and ferry. You can't pay for the bus in cash. You must buy an AT HOP card. These can be purchased at the Domestic or International Airport in Auckland and can be used on buses, trains and ferries.
