This cabin is a 10 x 12 foot (120 sqft) detached unit with a queen bed on the ground floor and a queen bed located on the upper loft. The 10 x 6 foot (60 sqft) loft is accessible by ladder and is NOT recommended for mobility-challenged guests. These cabins are equipped with a smart television, air conditioner, fan, heater, WIFI, and overhead reading lights. Since each unit is snug; we consider them as a comfortable base camp for your vacation in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. You may check in using our keyless door codes, no need to speak with a staff member. Once your booking is paid, you will receive your door entry code via email & text message on the day of your arrival. The smart tv in the cabin connects to programming using our Starlink internet service. There are multiple free channels available but you are also welcome to connect your own accounts to watch your favorite on demand or live tv. Verizon is the only cellular carrier which works reliably at our location, however you can connect your phone to our WIFI to make WIFI calls and check email or text messages. This cabin is one of four cabins and nine historic inn rooms available at Gena's Sierra Inn. Our location is the Central Sierra Nevada Mountain foothills and are subject to typical mountain experiences such as occasional snow, typical hot summer weather, various bugs, snakes, and wild animals like opossums, ferrets or mountain lions. While it is extremely rare to encounter dangerous animals at our facility, you should be aware that the possibility exists. Just two miles away is the last gas station for 26 miles into the National Parks and it features a nice convenience store sure to meet your snacking needs. Across the street is a cute coffee shop which also serves a nice selection of breakfast items. Less than a mile away is the world famous Project Survival's Cat Haven, a rescue sanctuary for large game cats. They offer tours of the lions, tigers, panthers and other beautiful animals. Our restaurant and inn is just 5 miles from the Giant Sequoia National Monument and 14 miles from the entrance to the Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
