Area is 6,200 feet above sea level with a very nice private sandy beach for your enjoyment. Boat access on the East parking lot. You can bring motor boats, kayaks, rafts etc. 42 miles from Reno-Tahoe Inter. Airport. Around 200 from the SF Bay area. Winter is considered November through May in Lake Tahoe. We are in the High Sierras and the weather may become cold and stormy at any time. Guests should always carry chains and a shovel in their cars, as storms are very unpredictable. 4 WD vehicles are also recommended during high snow days. Guest access Free self parking at the front and to the east side of resort. There are free buses available from Placer County. Check tahoetruckeetransitdotcom for schedule and stop locations. The nearest one is across from Safeway about 2 blocks away. Traffic can get very heavy during high season dates. Please be careful crossing the streets and watch out for traffic. Some drivers go faster than they should. Please drive carefully as well. Tahoe Vista is right next to Kings Beach where there are restaurants, stores, State Park, Rite Aid drug store etc within a 1/2 mile so everything is within walking distance. Please respect our beautiful Tahoe scenery by disposing of all your trash in trash bins. Please do not litter.
