South Downs Escape

Nestled at the foot of the South Downs just 5 miles north of Brighton. The village of Fulking is the perfect place for a weekend escape from London or Brighton or as a holiday destination. The village boasts one of the most popular country pubs in the area sitting right under the South Downs. It is just a 15 minute brisk walk to the top of the hill with views of Brighton to the south and back to the North downs. The area is perfect for walking, cycling and is just a half hour drive to the beach. The space A ground floor flat with master bedroom, toilet/bathroom, children's bedroom, lounge and kitchen. West facing rear garden has fantastic views of the South Downs and the Fulking Escarpment and we get some beautiful sunsets. Guest access Guests have full access to the property and all spaces. We will vacate when people are staying. As we are often living away we have arranged it so the property is mostly clear of our personal possessions. Bedroom furniture for storing and hanging clothes is fully available for the use of our guests. The kitchen is fully equipped as can be seen in the photos and all items are entirely available for guests to make use of. Other things to note We have lived here for the last 12 years and love the village and surrounding area. We are happy to invite others to come and enjoy staying in this unique setting which offers such a diverse range of possibilities. From country walks and pubs on the doorstep, to nights out in Brighton or days spent on the beach. For those coming from further afield even London can be considered a day trip. We ask that our guests are considerate that this is our home and is a central ground floor flat in a residential building. It is not a suitable venue for a party although obviously you are free to make use of the property as you would your own. Practicalities. Heating is primarily from the woodstove in the lounge, wood is provided. This is generally sufficient for the entire flat but there are also electric heaters in the bedrooms should they be needed. After booking please read the info for guests section to get full info on using the stove. The bunk beds in the second bedroom are really only suitable for children. There is a pull out sofa bed in the front room. There is a fibre Internet connection to the flat with unlimited access subject to fair use.
