The Finestra apartment on the Orobie Alps is on the edge of the woods and a short walk from the center of Valbondione (altitude 900m), high Val Seriana, known to host in its territory the waterfalls of Serio - among the highest in Italy - and the main oobic peaks. Bars, pharmacy, restaurants, grocery stores, playground, Val Seriana bike path, cross-country skiing can be reached within a 5-minute walk. Lizzola ski lifts 10 minutes away, medieval village of Gromo 15 minutes away. The space The apartment, with exposed beams, is characterized by a splendid view of the valley. It consists of: ✔️ entrance/hallway ✔️ bathroom with washer-dryer ✔️ living room with kitchenette, heated fireplace, dining table, sofa bed ✔️ large panoramic balcony ✔️ In the attic, with double exposure, there is a double bed, two single beds, a full-size sofa bed. Guest access Guests will have access to all areas of the house and will be able to use the garage where you can leave cars and/or bikes - useful in particular during April /October, when most of the parking lots in the municipal territory are subject to a ticket payment of 5 euros/day. Other things to note The little ones are welcome! Camping cot, sidewalks, high chair, changing table, books and games are available for free use. FOR FAMILIES The nearby Seriana Valley bike path offers an opportunity for flat walks or bike excursions (bike rental available in the village - box available for those who want to use their own bikes). The characteristic Alpine village of Maslana can be reached with a 45-minute hike. In winter it is active in the village of cross-country skiing. From the hamlet of Lizzola, in about a twenty-minute walk and minimum altitude, you reach the Piane di Lizzola, a evocative plains surrounded by the mountains and dotted with cabins and waterways. A 15-minute drive takes you to the medieval village of Gromo, ranked one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Nearby, in Spiazzi di Gromo there are ski lifts, shelter, adventure park, downhill tracks. FOR HIKERS The territory of Valbondione offers the embarrassment of choice. The village is a starting point for excursions to numerous shelters (Curò, Brunone, Coca, Campel, Mirtillo, 2Baite) and peaks (lace Recastello, lace Coca, lace Redorta, Punta di Scais…). From the hamlet of Lizzola you can access the ski slopes and additional trails, including the one that leads to the small church of Manina, on the pass that divides Val Seriana and Val di Scalve.
