1800's Manor House on the James River
5 Bedroom, 5.5 Bath, 1800's Manor overlooking the James River Eastover was part of a land grant in 1637 from the King of England to Henry Brown. Over the years, land was both acquired and subdivided into different parcels, leaving 283 acres, including the Manor house. Although the Manor house was not Henry Brown's house, it still has been of historical importance to many people. The Manor house was built in the 1880's and is currently owned and operated by The Edge Christian Camp, Inc. As a guest at this camp, conference and retreat center we offer many activities and amenities to help you make wonderful memories during your stay. Most guests enjoy spending a day swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boarding, or kayaking on the James River, swimming in our pool, playing a round of laser tag, ax throwing, archery, taking a hayride, making a craft at our craft building, taking a hike, or playing a round of sand volleyball or gaga ball. With your own private firepit, you can finish the evening on the Manor lawn with a campfire. Just call the camp office and we can help you with any of your activity needs. Wanting a day out? We are located one hour from Jamestown, an hour and a half from Bush Gardens, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. Also we highly recommend Metro Richmond Zoo. Also note that the Jamestown-Scotland Ferry is FREE all year!
