Lavender Spa House

Lavender Spa House is a luxury glass and timber guesthouse set in a private beech forest in Oxfordshire. You’ll find it down a gravel track, in woodland that is home to hares, owls and deer. With its large tiled hot tub, surround sound cinema, cold water swimming pool and traditional sauna, it would be easy to stay in. But outside, there’s a network of footpaths and cycleways to explore, and many local treasures. Goring, with its riverside brunch spots & pubs is just 10 minutes away for example. The space Lavender Spa House is a flexible stylish space that is great for family holidays, romantic breaks; even as a wellness and walking haven for groups of friends. There’s a king size en-suite bedroom upstairs, with vast windows looking out over the beech woods. On the ground floor, you’ll find the hot tub and sauna, shower and changing room, and for the cold water swimmers amongst you, a crystal clear swimming pool with lockable electric cover. The pool can be heated at additional cost. The kitchenette and dining area, set around an island table with leather high-backed bar stools, is also on the ground floor. Downstairs is the surround sound cinema with velvet corner sofa, cushions and bean bags galore, plus two single beds. We have many subscription services, offering hundreds of films and shows. Guest access Guests have private use of the whole spa house, parking right beside the spa house (plus plenty of extra parking beyond that if needed), the two spa house patios and a lawned area behind the spa house. Other things to note The spa house has a central steel spiral staircase that may be a hazard for toddlers, crawling babies, or for adults who are unsteady on their legs. The sauna pool and hot tub are maintained & serviced for commercial use, and maintained to a high standard of hygiene. Nonetheless, it goes without saying that anyone using these facilities does so at their own risk. If you're after a VERY relaxing stay, and don't fancy cooking, our neighbour Emma is a brilliant chef, and can cater hot food, delivered on a tray. Lasagnes, casseroles, asian peanut satay salads, chicken skewers, sticky toffee puddings, freshly baked scones and cakes... the list goes on. Contacts are provided once booked. Please be aware, the spa house is an annexe to our own family home. It is a separate building and guests have designated patios and a garden area, but there is no actual fencing between our garden, the woodland, the parking area and the bridleway. We have dogs, a cat and chickens, plus children; a family home. You will likely see the animals and possibly the children & us at some point in the garden or on the driveway. The windows of our house face away from the pool house so you can be sure of privacy, but if you want a house off on its own in a wood, that is not what this is.
