Private guest suite located in our historic 1855 townhouse at the intersection of Park Slope and Boerum Hill. Around the corner from the B, D, N, R, Q 2, 3, 4, 5, trains. Close to 5 bus lines and the LIRR. Only 10-15 minutes to Manhattan by subway. The charming space includes a bedroom with a queen bed, living room with a queen sofa bed, newly-renovated kitchen, and full bathroom -- and access to our tranquil backyard with comfy chairs, full outdoor dining set up, and fire pit. The space The Blue House Guest Suite is a lovely, cozy suite of rooms on the first floor of a historic 1855 Brownstone-style townhouse, lovingly renovated to keep its old world charm. The house has many of the original charming antique details, including a romantic mantle that used to house a coal-fired stove at the turn of the last century. The guest suite is set up so that our visitors can have their own bedroom (with a queen size bed), sitting room (with a comfortable queen sofa bed) and kitchen. French doors with room darkening curtains separate the bedroom from the living and dining space. The bedroom windows have room-darkening curtains to give you a quiet, dark sleeping experience in the comfy queen bed. The living room’s queen-sized pull-out sofa has fresh linens and a variety of warm and light blankets for when it’s used as a bed. A Pack-N-Play is in the hall closet for a baby or toddler. In the adorable kitchen you will find a gas range, microwave, fridge, and toaster. We've set up a coffee and tea station for you with a French press, electric kettle, and a stove-top espresso maker and we've stocked it with coffee and tea. We also provide a full set of dishes, glassware and silverware, as well as all the pots and pans and kitchen supplies you will need if you choose to cook at home. In the bathroom, we provide complimentary body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We also provide fluffy towels and washcloths for each guest, as well as other small niceties like cotton swabs and the like. And, of course, there's a hair dryer for you to use. We would be happy to lend you something else you might need. You will have private access to the full guest area of our townhouse as shown in the pictures and listing details. While we adhere to NYC Local Law 18 that mandates that the townhouse space be shared, we make sure that our guests feel their privacy is fully respected throughout their stay. We are in the house but you have privacy and security on your floor. We may hang out with you in the backyard garden, though, which we recently renovated to allow a large table, sitting area with benches and end tables, comfy chairs with ottomans, and a grill, nestled in among the large planters with heather and milkweed to attract butterflies. Guest access Our family lives in the same townhouse unit and are available to answer questions or provide recommendations as needed. We are also happy to give our guests as much privacy as they request. If we are home when you arrive, we will greet you to show you around the suite and answer any questions.
