Bright 2 Bedroom Flat in Heart of Milwaukee
Bright 2 Bedroom Flat in Heart of Milwaukee
Description
Welcome, weary travelers to your unique home away from home. Built in 1889, this historic house has classic old-school Milwaukee charm (think original oak built ins, large bay windows, and tall ceilings) with modern amenities (smart TVs, rain shower, and a fully equipped kitchen) and a fenced in backyard. Located directly next to Kilbourn Park, the best view of the city is just a 5 minute walk from the front door. This bright, cozy and eclectic style space is yours to enjoy, inside and out. The space This spacious first floor apartment contains a comfortable living room, large dining room, fully equipped kitchen, two cozy bedrooms, and a full bathroom. This space is our home, filled with things that spark joy for us: art that I or friends created, art and items that we found during our travels, and old stuff that we think is just pretty dang cool. We hope it sparks some joy for you too. You will also have access to the home's fenced in backyard, where you can nap in the hammock or chow down on lunch at the picnic table. Guest access The private flat is accessed through a private entrance located at the front of the house. There is an off-street parking spot located directly behind the home, accessible via the alleyway between North Booth Street and Resevoir Park. The slab parking spot is connected to the home via a fenced in backyard. If you are traveling with multiple cars or prefer to park in front of the home, free street parking can usually be found directly in front of the house. Other things to note This is an old house that has served as a home for many generations of folks: shoe cobblers, produce vendors, a pair of Italian twin sisters. Now it is our home (we are renting it out while we are road-trippint), one in which my partner and I got married, adopted a dog, and started our Milwaukee story. We are very grateful to add to the history of this place and are excited about the changes (we like to think improvements!) that we have made to it. However, our to-do list is a long one. If you're looking for a place that doesn't have dents in the plaster or cracks in the tile, this may not be a good fit. If you're looking for a unique spot that will add color to your stay in Milwaukee, we can't wait to share it with you.
