Tons of fish and wildlife in the area thanks to the wildlife sanctuary across the canal. The area is great for fishing, waterfowl, kayaking, or boating. The space This year round house comes with a fully equipped kitchen with seating for up to 4, a coffee maker, towels, toiletries, an iron and a hair dryer. The main bedroom has a queen bed and a spacious closet for your gear. The other bedroom has a dedicated workspace for remote workers and a futon which folds down into a full bed, plus another good-sized closet. There's a selection of books and games in case the weather happens to be uncooperative. The electric fireplace in the living room adds ambiance when relaxing on the dual reclining loveseat or sofa. There is a Roku TV with an HD antenna and WiFi with enough bandwidth for all your devices. A washer and dryer are available for use if the need arises. This house does not have air conditioning. There are fans in all of the rooms and the breeze from the bay in afternoon does a nice job of keeping the house comfortable. Other things to note Four kayaks and life jackets can be used on request if an excursion into the bay or around the canals is on the list of things to do. There's easy access to the wildlife preserve and to Anchor Bay, Lake St. Clair, and the St. Clair River from the canal. The boat launch is at the end of the street and there is on-site docking for a boat or a couple jet skis available on request. The fishing from the back deck is great. There are carp, bluegill, bass and catfish right in the canal. The area has walking path through the preserve, a variety of restaurants, a bowling alley, ice cream, access to lots of waterfront parks and beaches all within a 5 to 10 minute drive.
