Americana Country Cabin

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This cabin is perfect to experience the remote quiet life in the country yet it is only 6 miles to the nearest town of Byrdstown TN which is absolutely charming. It still has the southern hospitality in which we all love and endure. This cabin is less than 11 miles from the prestigous Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina where there is a multitude of water activities to do including a sandy beach area at the Obey River Recreation Area. The space The cabin can comfortably sleep 4 people with a full size bed and a twin bunkbed. The kitchenette is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, electric 2 burner cooktop, convection toaster over, microwave and full size fridge. The outside deck has chairs to lounge along with a fire pit and grill. There is an orchard next to the cabin if you want to enjoy some fruit when they are in season. Its a great place to enjoy the great outdoors and see the stars at night! This rental has a lot to offer in the country and is close to several points of interest. If you have a boat or want to rent a boat, check out Dale Hollow Lake and Sunset Marina. This is where Luke Bryan shot his video "Sunrise, Sunburn and Sunset". It is absolutely gorgeous there. If you like waterfalls there are 9 major waterfalls all within 1 hour driving time. Some are as close as 30 minutes away. Big South Fork and Pickett Park are some of the more popular parks but there are more around. There are several restaurants, shops and a grocery store within 8 miles. I have included more information in the welcome guide in the rental so you can really enjoy the area and hopefully come back to enjoy it more in the future. Guest access You will have access to the cabin and property on the right hand side of the driveway. Other things to note NOTE: We provide a small "starter pack" of paper products, toiletries and trash bags etc. We have small ice maker so you may want to purchase bagged ice. This house is surrounded by farmland and woods therefore we may have insects and wildlife on the property. While we take precautions like regular pest control, it is common to see insects like beetles, stinkbugs, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, ticks, chiggers, carpenter bees, water bugs, yellow jackets, no see bugs, etc which are prevalent in this area depending on the season. We also have rare sightings of wildlife like mountain pet dogs, cows, deer, raccoons, squirrels, opossum, wild turkey, field mice, lizards, frogs, snakes etc. While they will usually come and go we just ask that you be aware of your surroundings. We really want you to be comfortable so if you are not a fan of the country rural setting this home may not be the best option for you.
