The space LAYOUT: Ground floor: – Entrance hall – A spacious living and dining room with an incredible view of the lake. – Large modern kitchen with induction hob, combi-oven, extractor hood, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and all other modern conveniences. – Spacious double bedroom with beautiful views (2x box spring beds 90 x 200 cm) – Bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet and combi washer-dryer Upstairs Two bedrooms, one with two single beds (box spring) that can be joined together. This bedroom has its own spacious washbasin and separate toilet. The other bedroom also has two single beds (box spring). All furniture and beds are of the highest quality. Other things to note Surroundings When you stay in this house, you won't want to leave, but about a 5-minute drive from the house you will find the beautiful Venice of the North: GIETHOORN. Giethoorn is known for its canals and many characteristic bridges, footbridges, farms and, of course, the punters, which is why it is also called ‘Dutch Venice’. In Giethoorn, electric boats whizz silently through the water, passing under the characteristic high bridges. The thatched farms and houses are built on small islands, some of which can only be reached via the bridges or by water. The hospitable village of Giethoorn has a lot to offer, especially in terms of water recreation and relaxation, with all the necessary amenities nearby, many cosy restaurants with terraces, shops and museums such as the famous Oude Aarde and Gloria Maris shell gallery. Giethoorn and Wanneperveen are surrounded by natural beauty, such as marshes, reed beds and various bodies of water created by peat extraction and major floods. The area is therefore ideal for wonderful walking and cycling trips. The Weerribben-Wieden nature reserve, covering at least 13,000 hectares, is just around the corner. And if you don't want to see any water for a day, the national parks “Het Drents-Friese Wold” and “Het Dwingelderveld” are less than 25 km away. The charming towns of Meppel and Steenwijk (10 km) are a short distance away, while Zwolle offers everything you would expect from a large city: art, culture, shops, a train station and a lively nightlife. Golfers can enjoy a beautiful 18-hole course in Havelte. Or cycle to picturesque villages such as Hasselt, Blokzijl, Vollenhove or Zwartsluis.
