Flintoff, 2 Bed Off-Grid WanderPod, Lake Wyaralong

With a panoramic view of Lake Wyaralong and flanked by native bushland, the landscape falls away before you from the deck of Flintoff. Light a fire, pour a glass of wine and tell stories under the stars. The space Flintoff's two bedroom layout is perfect for friends travelling together. Each bedroom features a large king size pillow top bed made with luxurious flax linen by Cultiver. In between the bedrooms is a bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and flushing toilet - we may be off grid, but we think these are important must haves! Take in the view from the living & dining area which offers floor to ceiling windows that open out onto your private uncovered deck and allow you to look up and soak in the night sky too. This living area also features a combustion wood fireplace, along with complimentary firewood in the cooler months. For the warmer months, the living area offers a solar powered air conditioner which is able to run during daylight hours. In addition, all rooms also offer ceiling fans to keep the air flowing throughout the pod, which can be run 24/7. As self catering, unhosted, accommodation, we encourage our guests to make use of the kitchenette, which offers a 2 burner gas cooktop and a full size fridge. For grilling and roasting, the outdoor Weber BBQ is a great option. When permitted by state authorities, guests can also enjoy the outdoor fire pit. We provide the firewood and everything you need to enjoy an evening by a cosy fire. Whilst we'd love for you to take the opportunity to disconnect from the everyday, we know that staying connected is important - when you choose to - so complimentary WiFi is available and mobile reception is available for most carriers. Like Wanderers, the Pods thrive on country and are completely off the grid. With its minimalist design, natural materials and floor to ceiling glass, everything about the WanderPod is designed to create a connection to nature and to each other. The pod harvests and stores solar energy and water, and recycles grey water. Living off grid is a different experience and we ask our guests to consider their usage of energy and water, as electricity and water are limited as they are harvested from nature. We do have backup generators in place, however we would prefer not to use them of course! Also included is a Subpod composting bin so you can keep your organic waste out of landfill and back into restoring the earth. Other things to note As we're completely off-grid, the WanderPod is designed to be as energy efficient as possible. Accordingly, we are unable to support high energy appliances such as microwaves, toasters and hair dryers. We love guests that choose electric vehicles, however the WanderPod is not capable of charging a car due to the power needed. We recommend guests use the charging stations in Beaudesert, Kooralbyn, Jimboomba or Ipswich. This WanderPod is pet friendly! Just the one pet can be accommodated, and must be on a leash at all times when outside as the area is not fenced. Please note there is a small additional cleaning fee for pets, which can be paid directly to the property. The air-conditioning in the pod is solar powered, so can be used whilst there is sufficient sun. Unfortunately as air-conditioning is a high powered appliance this is unable to be run from the WanderPod battery after the sun goes down.
