The Dune Shack is a classic Venus Bay Beach House, perched high on the Dunes. The Shack is perfect for unwinding and watching the clouds, birds and kangaroos move across the landscape. The Shack is a 5min walk to the Village Shops, 15min walk to a Patrolled Beach and only 45min drive to Wilsons Promontory. A separate Studio’s WFH setup is perfect for those who need to work during family holidays. A 50inch Smart TV is available to connect to your streaming subscriptions. Insta: Dune_Shack The space The Shack has 2 bedrooms, each set up with queen beds. The place has been thoughtfully curated with vintage furniture and pieces tastefully blended with modern comforts to create an easy, relaxed atmosphere. The recently installed wood heater adds to the cozy atmosphere and provides the perfect cooktop for slow cooking on cold days. There is a 32” smart TV in the main living space and a 50” smart TV in the downstairs studio for movie night. The separate downstairs Studio is perfect for those who need to work and need an extra bit of privacy. The Shack has an original kitchen and bathroom which adds to the charm of the shack, original features are complimented with vintage treasures. Double glazing has been installed to the shack along with wall insulation. Linen is provided but please bring your own beach towels. Other things to note The Dune Shack is part off-grid with water collected and treated (septic tank) onsite. Water conservation requirements apply during your stay, please be mindful of water usage. Internet and electricity are connected to the grid. Pets are most welcome at The Dune Shack. The back yard is fenced. Please ensure pets feet are clean if within the house and off furniture. If your pet is inclined to jump on furniture we request that you bring your own pet blankets. Please note there are a number of steps from the parking area to the entrance of the main Shack. High quality, slow burning hardwood is provided for the wood heater, however we recommend bringing your own kindling, this can be purchased at the local general store, 5mins walk from the shack.
