Peaceful one level adobe style retreat to enjoy and escape to. Overlooking an open sage field on the west with incredible sunset views. Tastefully decorated modern furnishings. Murphy bed with memory foam mattress in 2nd bd. Private gated backyard and patio. Walking trails out your door. Between Taos Ski Valley and the cool Town of Taos. The space When you arrive at your home away from home you will notice the beautiful sage meadow, front patio and landscaped front yard. As you enter the space you will be welcomed by a spacious and open living area with a true NM feel. The high wood tounge and groove ceilings with rounded wood Vigas, lightly faux painted walls, skylights, gas Kiva fireplace, large smart TV, separate dining area, large kitchen with travertine tile countertops, stainless fridge with ice maker and filtered water, gas range, dishwasher, microwave and toaster oven. The kitchen has been well equipped to accommodate those meals cooked at home during your stay. You will notice the slate tile floors throughout our home that have in floor heat for a very comfortable temperature. As you walk down the well lit hallway you will notice the washer and dryer for your convenience and the full guest hallway bathroom with both tub and shower and skylight. The main bedroom to the left features a King Sized Bed with a pillow top mattress cover and lovely Pottery Barn comforter and shams. A ceiling fan over the bed, large standing mirror, lots of closet space, dresser and 2 night stands with lamps. The adjoining bath has a walk in shower with hand rail and bench, a large vanity with travertine tile countertops and skylight. There is a sliding glass door that will take you out to the private walled in back yard with a grassy lawn and patio, views to the Sacred Taos Mountains and there is a gas grille for outdoor cooking along with a table for outdoor dining. Additional lounge chairs are available for an afternoon nap. A gate will lead you to a beautifully landscaped common area with fountains, fire pit and tables for outdoor seating for your enjoyment. Going back inside the 2nd bedroom is off of the guest bath and features a Murphy bed with memory foam mattress and a pillow top mattress pad with Pottery Barn comforter and pillow shams, ceiling fan over the bed, guest chair, large closet and standing shelf lamp. This bedroom also has access to the private back yard and patio through the sliding glass door. You will enjoy the peaceful setting and yet the convenient location to the Taos Ski Valley in only 20 minutes for hiking or skiing. On your way there you can stop at the Sol Market or Sol Cafe for a yummy breakfast or lunch or go to the Taos Cow for an ice crème cone. Joy Yoga is a wonderful yoga studio if you are looking for a yoga class. You can also shop in the local unique stores with some great finds. Heading south in 15 minutes you can be in the quaint Town of Taos and visit the many unique shops and the old historical Plaza. Out the front door of our home you can walk through the sacred sage brush meadows in the morning to enjoy the sunrise over the Sacred Taos Mountains and in the evening walking to the ridge to enjoy the spectacular Taos Sunsets that seem to last for hours with the big desert sky. Common courtyard area also is yours to enjoy. Access to the unit is with a keypad on the front door. We will send you the code and directions the morning of your check in day. Other things to note Quite complex with great location and incredible views. Many residents live here full time so be aware to be respectful. House Rules: Because of our having only 2 beds only the following guest configurations will be allowed. 1 or 2 couples, 1 couple with 2 small children that can share a bed or 2 singles. We do not allow sleeping on the couch. When requesting to book please describe the people in your party. We use natural products in our home and we request that you refrain from using chemical perfumes or fragrances when occupying our home. Quiet time from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. No loud parties or loud music allowed. Check in 4:00 PM. Check out 10:00 AM. There is 1 Reserved Parking spot in front of the unit. If you have additional cars there is first come first served non reserved parking spots around the building.
