Our home away from home is located in Svarfhólsskógur in Hvalfjördur - just 50-min away from the city. As a base for sightseeing this is an amazing location to explore the Snaefellsness Peninsula as well as the many sights in the west coast including waterfalls, glaciers, caves and much more. If you enjoy nature and serenity this is the place for you. After any action packed day it is great to kick back in the hot tub and relax. Guests have access to the entire cottage. Four bedrooms including the guest house, open plan living dining and kitchen. There is also a WC which includes a sink and shower facilities in the main house. The deck has a gas BBQ (and a back up gas tank just in-case) which you can enjoy all year around. It is very normal in Iceland to BBQ all year around. There is a Philips Senseo coffee machine, and there will be a supply available to you. There is also English Breakfast Tea Bags and Sugar. You are welcome to make use of all the spices and sauces. We recommend doing a grocery shop for food prior to arriving as the closest store is in Akranes up to 20-minutes away. We hope you feel at home in our cottage and take care of it. We live in Reykjavik and only a phone call away. The cottage is located in the beautiful country side of Svínadalur in Hvalfjörður. Just 50-minutes away from Reykjavík the cottage is in a fantastic location. The nearest store is 15-20 minutes away in Akranes, it is advised to do a grocery shop in Reykjavík, Mosfellsbær, Akranes or Borgarnes before arriving to the cottage.
