Description
At Killara Farm, mornings are made for slow cups of coffee on the veranda as the sun rises over the countryside. Spend your days lounging by the pool, exploring peaceful walking trails, or simply unwinding in the fresh air as our shaggy Highland cows roam the paddocks. As evening sets in, gather around a cozy fire pit under a blanket of stars or enjoy a home-cooked meal in the serene farm setting. Whether you're seeking adventure or pure relaxation, Killara Farm offers the perfect haven. The space As you pass through the gates of Killara Farm, a sense of calm sets in. The circular driveway leads you to a peaceful rural retreat that’s been featured twice in Urban List’s “17 of the Best Sunshine Coast Farm Stays for a Country Escape.” The homestead is wrapped in wide verandahs that capture the breeze and offer panoramic views of the countryside. Relax by the pool under the shade of a grapevine, perfect for a slow afternoon with a glass of wine or deep conversation. Inside, rustic timber floors bring warmth and character to every room—some even bear traces of paint from generations past, reminding us that homes have a story to tell. Carefully chosen vintage touches add a nod to the home’s lived-in charm and history. The open kitchen is a cook’s dream, featuring a large blackbutt island bench and a double oven, ideal for preparing memorable meals with local produce. Every corner of the homestead reflects our love for the home, thoughtfully curated with heart and soul. For a quieter moment, retreat to the Whiskey Room—painted in moody charcoal and overlooking the dam—where you might spot our friendly Highland cows near the fence, hoping for a pat. A gentle creek winds through the property, leading to open paddocks. Whether you're here to reconnect with nature or indulge in slow living, Killara Farm offers the perfect balance of tranquility and adventure.
