The space The gorgeous Waipara Valley Escape cottage is the perfect place for you to disconnect, relax, and recharge. This peaceful tranquil setting, overlooks stunning flower gardens, farm paddocks and views over the Waipara Valley hills and Mt Grey. Located on our small farm, the cottage is all yours to enjoy and soak up rural life at its best. The cottage has all the home essentials you need to escape for a weekend or a stop on your trip around New Zealand. There are two bedrooms; (made up as 2 - 3 beds - depending on your needs), Euro laundry, power shower, log burner, heat pump & air conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen has a large oven, gas hobs, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and, outside a Webber BBQ. Complimentary breakfast provisions include muesli, oats, toast, preserves, butter, farm fresh eggs, herbal teas, coffee pods and milk of your choice (*let us know your preference prior). All left for you to assemble at your leisure. Everything needed for your stay is provided including luxury linen & towels, NZ woolen throws, beautiful non-toxic toiletries & laundry powder. Extensive outdoor areas allow you to follow the daily sun; from your morning coffee overlooking the garden or an evening wine and BBQ on the deck enjoying the spectacular sunset over Mt Grey and star gazing with our big expansive South Island skies. If you want to go wine tasting, dine out or explore the awesome walks in the area; wineries are within a 5-minute drive and Amberley village is only 10 minutes away. Guest access The cottage is all yours to enjoy during your stay, with a sunny large deck, flower gardens, trees, lawns and private driveway with parking. We live in the farmhouse next door; you’ll drive past our place as your arrive, the property is a small rural farm. The cottage has its own driveway, with plenty of parking at the door. Other things to note For wine enthusiasts; we are on the Glasnevin gravels, a sub region and entry to the glorious Waipara Valley. We are halfway between Amberley and Waipara village (10 min drive to each village). This is a great base to explore all the North Canterbury area has to offer.
