Hattie is a unique, romantic, escape overlooking acres of horse pasture, secluded yet a short stroll to Hawkhurst with its shops, cinema/cafe, pubs/restaurants . Recently refurbished - facilities to a high standard: king bed, ensuite shower room & loo, towels & linen, electric ’wood burner’, fridge, microwave, hob, hairdryer, DAB radio. Hot tub by request for a small additional cost. There’s a gas BBQ, table & chairs & parasol in the private cobbled garden area - perfect for star gazing. The space Hattie is a very comfortable and well equipped bijou studio with loft sleeping area (king size mattress), en suite shower and loo, private courtyard with table, chairs and BBQ. The perfect spot to relax, listen to birdsong, enjoying a drink while the sun sets and the stars come out. Hawkhurst is just a few minute’s walk away with its fabulous restaurants, pubs and boutique cinema. Guest access There is a large private parking area close to Hattie. We politely remind guests that the stables, main house and garden are strictly private. Other things to note Hattie is self catering but we provide a few items to get you going, including milk, cookies, tea bags, coffee and sugar sachets. In the kitchenette there is a small fridge with icebox, a hob and a microwave. Hawkhurst is really well appointed with a Waitrose, Tesco and other shops within walking distance, where you will be able to buy further provisions for your stay. We politely remind guests that there are no boom boxes or unreasonably loud music allowed and noise should be kept to a minimum from 11pm. There’s also a curfew of 11pm for the hot tub. We appreciate your co-operation. Unfortunately we can’t accommodate young children. Adults considering booking should be mindful that Hattie is a small accommodation with ladder access to the sleeping area and steps down to a cobbled garden and, for safety reasons, is not suitable for all guests. Strictly no smoking or vaping inside Hattie. We do not tolerate the use of drugs on our property - it’s almost impossible to get rid of the strong smell of weed etc before our next guests check in, which is not fair on anyone. Thank you.
