If you're yearning to leave behind the hustle and bustle of city life, venture into this skillfully constructed, secluded, bamboo and wood villa, located in the center of the island. Here you can float in your own private pool, whilst looking up at the blue sky and swaying palm trees. As soon as you set foot in Bamboo Lodge, you'll be captivated by its tropical charm. For couples seeking respite from the crowds, here, you'll discover a tranquil sanctuary and the soothing sounds of nature. The space The Villa comprises a large comfortable bedroom with king sized bed, mosquito net and air conditioner. The unit is equipped with a Flatscreen Tv featuring regional streaming channels and a bar fridge. The room has an ensuite bathroom with hot water. We provide free drinking water, tea, coffee, and sugar. The villa is surrounded by a natural garden and has a private pool. Please note: Due to the remote location of the island we are presently only able to provide **LIMITED WIFI** by means of a 3G wifi modem. Although this connection is suited for work from home, it is not suited to high volume streaming or downloading. Data top-ups in excess of this guest allocation will be for your account. Guest access Guests have full private access to the entire villa, garden, and private pool. Other things to note > THIS VILLA IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND - accessible by horse cart, 8 minute bicycle ride or a 15 minute walk > The villa is located in an area between local informal settlements so horses, chickens and other animals will be seen and heard at times. > The poor infrastucture on the island results in sparse street lighting thus requires you to take a TORCH with you for travelling at night. > Please remember this island is a natural space. Various types of insects such as ants, beetles, cockroaches, geckos, mosquitoes, snakes, mice, cats, chickens and horses share the island too - all are harmless! > Fresh Water is a scarce commodity here so please use tap water sparingly. > Internet, electricity and water MAY be interrupted at times due to the location of the island - although not frequently. This is out of our control. > We provide ample, LIMITED 3G based cellular data to our guests enabling them to work from home. However, this connection is NOT SUITED to streaming and downloading high volumes. If the data provided is exhausted you will have to pay for recharges. > The predominant religion on the island is Muslim, so please respect the culture and the customs of the island and be prepared to hear the call to prayer 5 times per day. if you dont want to hear the MOSQUE sounds, then this island is not for you.
