Everything you could want is at your fingertips. SFO is a 12 min drive/30 min Caltrain away. This unit has a bright, airy, welcoming feel with many windows open to the sky and high elegant ceilings. There is a free assigned parking space and lots to do, see and hear. Renting a car is not required. Modestly well-appointed, you can get your work done on it's blazing fast fiber internet & wifi; appreciate the 10 inch thick memory foam queen bed; & enjoy an artful, gracious, clean, welcoming place. Amenities are thorough: iron, blow dryer, full kitchen, dinnerware etc. Check out the local sights recommended in our guest book. This neighborhood is mixed-class and diverse—its proximity to downtown and Caltrain make it fairly urban. The entire space is yours although the unit is in a larger building with other tenants. They are super gracious people and our other AirBnB guests on premises give us excellent reviews. The building is in a mixed transitioning neighborhood, and it 2 blocks from thriving downtown San Mateo. It is close to Caltrain, Philz, Blue Bottle, Peet's & Starbucks coffee houses; a luxury lounge movie theater; lots of great restaurants and an Orange Theory gym. The neighborhood is socio-economically diverse and transitioning. Draeger's market is the favorite local grocery store. See the Guidebook for more information! Public parking isn't super easy in the area but you can find parking on the streets. Caltrain can get you to and from SFO--the walk to the unit is about 2.5 blocks from the terminal. Important Note: Built in 1897 & in downtown San Mateo near Caltrain means that you can sometimes hear neighbors, the train, or sounds from outside. Its not excessively loud just not the same as a hotel room. Its quite peaceful with birds, greenery and lots of fresh air. Also, there is a set of stairs to ascend and so any mobility issues cannot be accommodated (so sorry!). Please message me through this app if the tenants above are too noisy and I'll take care of it.
