Welcome to our beautiful vacation getaway, located in the heart of downtown Ellsworth and a short drive to MDI. The Gateway Getaway sits within walking distance of many local eateries and shops, the Ellsworth walking / biking path and the beautiful Union River. Sit on the back deck and wave at the Downeast Scenic Railroad. Our home is fully stocked with all the amenities you'll need to cook, barbecue, relax and even bring your pet. We have full laundry facilities and bicycles on site to use. The space Gateway Getaway is completely remodeled with a fresh , clean modern look and designed to meet our renters needs for a relaxing, home away from home experience. We have stocked the cupboards and even have essential supplies on site like oil and vinegar, spices, coffee and some condiments. The bedding, linens and towels are all hypoallergenic and were chosen with our guests comfort in mind. We have provided umbrellas for use, sand toys for the kids during day trips to the beach, a jogging stroller and pack & play, bicycles for use and so much more. If we've forgotten something please let us know. Other things to note Well behaved pets are welcome but we ask that they are kept in the special pet kennel/room when you're not home with them and that they are on a leash when they are outside. Renter is responsible for any damage caused by pets during the stay.
