Luxe & Modern farmhouse | House of Jane West

Description

Imagine Morticia Addams vacationed in Scandinavia - worked remotely with fast streaming wifi, and then influenced the design of a 1920’s farmhouse in Upstate New York to function both as a remote worker’s dream and an NYC office worker's ideal getaway weekend. In our case, Morticia Addams is known as Jane West, and she was the inspiration for our first weekend home. The space Just two hours from NYC, the House of Jane West is positioned perfectly as either a long-term vacation, a “work from the Catskills” zoom backdrop, or a weekend getaway for a couple looking for a change in scenery. This one-bedroom, one-bathroom, with a scenic balcony, and an office set up for two, is fully equipped with: fast streaming wifi, two monitors (compatible with Mac not PC), keyboards, and mice; Sonos in each room; an Ipad with Spotify, the Frame TV, Apple TV (with Netflix, live TV, etc); washer and dryer, bathroom heated tile floor, and an inside propane Jotul fireplace (used for heating, but the property also has four mini-split units around the house for both heat and AC.) The deck has a grill, and two areas for relaxing, eating, and dining. In the yard, you will find a fire pit with seating for 6, and you’ll be able to enjoy sitting (or lounging in a hammock) by the stream in our backyard. The chef's kitchen is equipped with a built-in stove and microwave oven combo, dishwasher electric cooktop, and a Terra Kaffe coffee machine, but also the necessities such as a blender and toaster oven. Conde Nast Traveler called Livingston Manor the Catskill's newest Hotspot, and the House of Jane West is less than a 10- minute drive from the restaurants, farmers markets, shopping, and trout fishing, with just 3 minutes away from the Arnold House. Please note, because we are on a main road, you might hear cars coming to and from town mostly on the weekends. We highly recommend numerous restaurants in Livingston Manor and the surrounding areas, primarily since Bon Appétit Magazine features numerous of them in their 2022 “Where to eat in the Catskills” article. Please note if you would like to use our space for meetings, photoshoots or video purposes, please contact us for pricing and location release. No large parties allowed on premises. Proudly LGBTQ and Woman owned.
