Happy Fall! Cosmo's Crossing- Come experience the peace of off grid tiny home living in this beautiful tiny barn tucked away in the woods. Perfect fall getaway for small families, romantic getaways and artists retreats. Begin your journey crossing the dock to your own hideaway and plan your adventures at the many surrounding state parks or bring your toys and fishing gear to hang out on Knife Lake located just a mile up the road. And don't forget to visit the many animals on the homestead. The space Cosmo's Crossing offers comfortable off grid tiny house living in a serene escape in the midst of the woods, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature and enjoy the natural beauty and adventure that northern Minnesota has to offer. The cozy barn is equipped with heating and air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay even during chilly spring nights or hot days. While you relax in the barn, you can also explore the nearby state parks, lakes (including Mille Lacs), and casinos. Visit with the resident cattle Zeus and Daisy, mini goats, chickens, geese and ducks, they love visitors! Due to the farm animals unfortunately we do not allow other pets on site. We even have free range duck and chicken eggs available. In addition, there is a pool on site for your enjoyment (closed for the season on labor day usually opens the end of June), and picnic table area. Please keep in mind there is a park that is a work in progress, it is older and we are working on updating it but it is available for kids to use. The cabin is situated on 5 acres of land, tucked away in a beautiful wooded area across a pond, with ample parking space for your vehicles or toys. You will have your own private yard, complete with a deck, fire table, and grill. The property is off-grid and fully powered by solar energy, with a backup generator (which you can use with your own gas) in case of need. While there is no shower, you will have a composting toilet, water for cooking and a pump sink for hand-washing and cleaning up. Microwave and grill with pot burner available for cooking. Parking is on grass near the dock. In addition to the cabin, there is also a family home and an RV (Kings Corner) on the property, but you will have your own separate space and privacy. Lastly, while the dock is very sturdy, it may feel a little wobbly to those who are not accustomed to crossing such a long dock without railings, so please be comfortable with this before booking.
