Holiday in style at this centrally-located design led loft style 2 bed apartment. Beautifully curated with mid-century and contemporary furnishings, this brand new luxury apartment offers spacious accommodation. Only a 2 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk into the medieval citadel of Rye. The space This gorgeous two bed loft style apartment is situated in the heart of the historic town of Rye, with its enchanting, cobbled streets, medieval church and beautifully preserved historic houses. The building dates from the late 1880s, when it was a corn and hop warehouse for poultry and game foods. The building has been newly converted into luxury loft style apartments and the Hop Loft has been furnished with a design led approach, mixing mid-century and contemporary furnishings and artwork. Many of the objects in the apartment are for sale through our partnership with Sister Magpie. There are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms; the master bedroom with luxurious Super-king sized bed includes an ensuite with a generous walk-in shower. The living room is very spacious with a beautiful floor to ceiling picture window in the dining area and there is a large well-equipped kitchen with everything a foodie could need, plus dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Lovely comfortable leather sofas are the perfect place to relax in front of the 50” Smart TV, after a day exploring all the delights Rye has to offer. All linens are provided along with toiletries. Guest access The entire apartment is yours. There is secure onsite car parking available for a small to medium size car, and there are also bike racks. For larger cars there is a reasonably priced public car park only a few minutes walk away by the Windmill. There is a lift so there is completely step free access. The apartment is ideally located 5 minutes’ walk into the medieval citadel and a 2 minutes’ walk to Rye railway station, which offers regular services to Hastings and Brighton in the west and to Ashford where there are connecting high speed services to London St Pancras, total journey time 70mins. Other things to note Rye is a vibrant town that has seen a transformation over the last 20 years from slightly twee chocolate box town into a food and design led destination. There are numerous independently owned boutiques and many extremely good eateries. Rye has been the home of writers Henry James (Lamb’s House is owned by the National Trust), Radclyffe Hall and EF Benson, and to artists Paul Nash and Edward Burra. There is a thriving programme of events in Rye, including the very popular Jazz Festival and various food festivals. The medieval citadel is home to a myriad of art, curiosities, and cosy pubs, as well as modern boutique hotels and contemporary restaurants serving the best Sussex has to offer, from land and sea. Built on smuggled secrets and timeless tales, Rye has nooks and crannies to explore and distant views across Romney Marsh to ponder. The Romney Marshes are on your doorstep with their network of ancient churches rubbing shoulders with vineyards and fine dining. The Marshes are flat and therefore very popular with cyclists. Rye Bay is only a short drive away comprising the famous Camber Sands, beautiful shingle beach at Winchelsea and Rye Harbour where mooring and launching facilities and boat trips are available. Rye Harbour has a newly opened visitor centre and is renowned for its bird watching opportunities. A half hour drive away is the amazing World Heritage “desert” of Dungeness, with its enchanting bleakness and the cottage where the filmmaker Derek Jarman designed his famous garden.
