Relax with friends or family in this cozy updated 19th century farmhouse cottage set on 5 acres surrounded by pasture and forest. This is truly a rural setting to enjoy the serenity of nature. Centrally located, a leisurely country drive will take you to quaint towns, spectacular hiking, fine dining and more. Visit our many breweries and distilleries or just take a drive and explore. Bring your bikes and ride the gently rolling wooded roads… or not. It’s your vacation. The space * Pets are welcome. Please read Additional Rules under House Rules before booking. * This eclectically decorated home features a living room, den with tv and sunroom with views looking out to the adjoining forest. There is one step down to a full eat in kitchen with coffee maker, spice rack, toaster, microwave, blender, cooking utensils etc. Off the kitchen is a sunny back deck and lower shaded deck. Further down is a fire pit to relax by. On the first floor is one full bath and one step up to a bedroom with a queen bed. A window air conditioner for this bedroom is available in warmer months. The entire home has well water which goes through a three part fully maintained filtration system. No need for bottled water. On the second floor are two bedrooms , one with a queen size bed, large closets, desk and built in AC. The second bedroom has two twin beds, dresser and built in AC. In addition there is a small full bath with stall shower and washer/dryer in second floor alcove. Green Meadow Cottage is the perfect getaway for those wishing to escape to nature and only 2 hours from the city. We are just an easy drive from popular areas such as Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock, Livingston Manor and Callicoon. Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy numerous local hiking trails like Mohonk preserve, giant ledge, Minnewaska and local swimming holes. Skiing on the slopes of Windham, Belleayre, Shawnee and more are less than a one hour drive. Indoor enthusiasts will enjoy antiquing, local theater and performance spaces like Bethel Woods.
