Cobble Cottage - Cosy 1 bedroom weavers cottage

Cobble Cottage is an old weavers cottage set on the outskirts of a traditional Lancashire mill town. Dating back to 1828 it was mainly used to weave cotton, using traditional hand looms. Now modernised to suit todays living, much of the original features have been retained including beamed ceilings, a large open fireplace, stone staircase, latch doors and exposed floorboards adding a cosy feel to anyone’s stay. The Cottage has one double bedroom and can comfortably accommodate 2 guests. The space Cobble Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for 2 guests with king sized bed. Shower room with toilet and wash basin. Fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine. Comfortable living area with sofa, arm chair, coffee table, dining table, open fireplace with log burner, sky tv. Stone steps with hand rail, lead up to the first floor. Although there is no outdoor space, we have fitted a stable door for those sunny days, which enables the fresh air and light flow in. Guest access Guests can have access to all of our cosy cottage. Other things to note Cobble Cottage is located on the edge of Barnoldswick or as the locals say ‘Barlick’, just a short walk away from the town centre and local amenities, where you can enjoy mooching around the independent local shops, grab a cuppa in one of the lovely local tea rooms/coffee shops or grab a drink at one of the local bars. There is a good selection of supermarkets nearby for the daily essentials too. Located on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border Barlick has the best of both worlds, surrounded by beautiful countryside for plenty of fabulous walks to enjoy. Not too far from the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, Malham Cove, the bustling market town of Skipton, Ilkley Moor, Grassingtion, Bolton Abbey, Harrogate and Howarth are just a few and all within easy commute. A little further afield is the fabulous Historic city of York and bustling city of Leeds. Let’s not forget Lancashire, the home of Pendle Hill and the Ribble valley where you’ll find some lovely towns and villages such as Clitheroe, Whalley, Downham and many more. Further afield are the fabulous cities of Manchester and Liverpool. Cobble Cottage is a great base to get out and explore the local area on foot or by car, or simply cosy up, relax and enjoy getting away from it all.
