The property features two generous indoor living areas, five bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, fitted with top of the range appliances. The living zones can be divided by a large sliding door (located next to the butlers pantry), for privacy or to block noise for sleeping, making the home suitable for two or more families. The magnificent rammed earth walls give the home a spacious and natural feel without losing on comfort. The green bedroom boasts a large king-size bed, featuring a walk-in robe with ample space for clothes and luggage storage during your visit. The double basin ensuite has a privacy door, a large walk-in shower, toilet, and a heated towel rail. The pink bedroom comes complete with a queen size bed, a walk-in robe with a storage shelf, hanging space, and drawers. This room also includes a single basin ensuite with a private walk-in shower and toilet. There is also a wall mounted TV in this bedroom. The blue bedroom, the smaller of the two queen bedrooms, is located to the rear of the property and features a queen-size bed and large robes with plenty of hanging space. The two single rooms offer comfort and size and are suitable for little and big kids alike. They both house childrens size desks for activities or can be used for additional off-floor storage. *These bedrooms both offer an optional trundle bed at an additional fee per night. Between the two single bedrooms, sits a large single basin vanity, a private toilet and a bath and shower room, with a heated towel rail. The bath is a generous size and offers a space to unwind and relax. The secondary living space is the perfect space to take some time out, catch up on work, or pop a movie on for the kids. The space features two large couches, a bean-bag and a wall mounted TV. There is also a double width, inbuilt desk with chairs for necessary study or work. The built-in low-line cupboards house kids' lego, toys, books, and boxes of bits and pieces that will keep the little people entertained for hours. The large marble kitchen comes equipped with everything you could want and is truly a home away from home. The main kitchen area houses a large oven and cooktop, an undermount sink, dishwasher, coffee pod machine, kettle, and all the wine glasses, cups, bowls, plates, cutlery, cheese platters, timber boards, cooking trays, kids utensils and sundries you could need during your stay. The butlers pantry, located behind the kitchen, features a large double door fridge/freezer, a second undermount sink, a microwave, plug in appliances, measuring bowls/cups, and cooking sauces and oils. The main living space is truly the heart of the home. With sweeping views made possible with extra height windows, across the Otway hinterland and the large native garden and pool. This is where you will want to spend the majority of your time. Catching up with friends and family couldn't be more enjoyable around the large 8-10 seater dining table or L-shaped modular couch by the fire. Birregurra Hilltop Escape is warmed by multiple systems, which means you will never feel cold in the cooler months. The beautiful burnished concrete floor houses the main source of warmth, the hydronic under floor heating. The hydronic heating provides a radiant heat source for the ultimate comfort. The main living area also features an indoor fire box for superior luxury and ambience. A generous supply of red gum logs is provided during the winter months to keep the fire burning for longer. Additional wood can be purchased from the local general store. For those looking to spend some time by the outdoor fire pit, the large sunken area is the perfect spot for star gazing at night. But, the pool is the real hero of outdoor living zones. The pool provides ample space to take a dip and features a full length bench and steps for a family friendly day of fun. The solar heated pool, is available between October and February. Temperatures will vary during this time, as sun shine is required to warm the solar panels. *Access may be required during your stay to collect pool water samples, maintain chemical levels or backflush the filtration system. With superior fittings and appliances, multiple bedrooms and living zones, and ample space for kids to explore, all within the property boundary. 5 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop Escape: - A short stroll to the golf course and heritage trail walking track. - A short drive to the main street, featuring Otway Artisan, The Birregurra General Store & Take away, Royal Mail Hotel, Yield, Enchanted Tastes Cafe, the pharmacy, Otway Remedial massage, the Birregurra skate park, and the Birregurra Post Office. - World famous Brae restaurant featuring Dan Hunters exquisite menu, with optional paired wines. 10 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop escape: - a brisk walk to the famous Birregurra engineering building, the local mill and historic train station (Warrnambool line- V-Line). - a drive to the Deans Marsh General Store for delicious coffee, and chef prepared meals. 20 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop Escape: - by car to Colac, and many more grocery and supply shops, including all the major fast food outlets, the Botanic Gardens, and Lake Colac. - take the scenic tour to Forrest and explore the recently upgraded mountain bikes trails and leafy walking trails and waterfalls. Lake Elizabeth and Stevenson Falls are amongst our favourites. Stop for lunch at the Forrest General, grab a house made sausage roll, and pick up a local bottle of wine or gin for later. 25 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop Escape: - Beeac is a cute country town featuring the Farmers Arms Hotel, with classic pub grub. Lake Beeac is worth a look, as well as the lolly shop for the sweet tooth amongst us. 30 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop Escape: - take a drive through the bush to Lorne on the coast. Enjoy the artisan cafes and boutique shops, and explore the pier and walking trails along the foreshore. You might even spot a sting ray or a shark. The warmer months are perfect for a dip, but get in early to avoid the crowds and to snag the perfect patch of sand. - Red Rock volcano site for expansive views and a bit of history. 50 minutes from Birregurra Hilltop Escape: - Wye River on the Great Ocean Road is worth a stop. The protected beach inlet is great for little swimmers, surrounded by the glorious bush landscape. The town also features the Wye General Store for coffee or lunch and the Wye Beach Hotel for heartier meals. - Camperdown is located on the Princes Highway and is a fabulous base to explore the area. The area is famous for its lakes and craters, and the views are to die for from the Mt Leura lookout. Lake Bullen Merri is full of boaters in the warmer months and is a great spot for lake sports. The Camperdown Botanic Gardens are well worth a look. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and grounds, including pool (in summer months), fire pit area, extensive lawn areas, cubby house, and trampoline. *Off- limits- the office and triple car garage. Other things to note Pets are not suitable for Birregurra Hilltop Escape. There are no solid fences around the property, and lost pets are often found wandering the streets in the local township.
