Hawthorne Cottages Overlook

The Overlook cottage is conveniently located above the beach with beautiful bay windows looking out on the cove. A short staircase goes to the beach, but a flat grassy area in front of the cottage is perfect for picnics and BBQs Please read through all listing information to ensure that this cottage is a good fit for your needs. The space Aged pine walls throughout make for a quaint and rustic feel. This cottage received all new mattresses and pillows in 2020 plus a new 55" smart TV Guest access Our cottages are accessed off of Meadow Rd / Rt 121. Off the Meadow Rd, some very lightly trafficked roads (some dirt, some paved) run throughout our cottages which are used mostly for guests to go to and from the cottages. All cottages have at least one dedicated parking space, most have two, and there is extra parking room in our cottage neighborhood for more. The sandy beach and grassy shore area is communal (but private to our cottages) and many guests use the roads around the cottages for walking. There is a communal laundry shed with equipment freely available to do laundry as well as extra household supplies should you need them. Please see the guest manual for more information about the laundry shed. Other things to note This cottage is in a quiet neighborhood of cottages. Our guests need to be interested in a quiet stay without loud music, parties, or late night revelry. Please note that this cottage does not have any air conditioning or heating. FALL UPDATE: the cottage docks are now taken up onto the beach and so there are no docks in the water for guest use. This also lessens the open area of the waterfront available for lounging etc. The cottages themselves are unchanged and there is still open waterfront lawn.
