This is a duplicate listing of the Time Traveler Retreat, but without the use of the laundry room. You have chosen one of Julian's nicest 2-bedroom 5-star rated cabins. Complete with A/C and Heat. You may also use our high-end ceramic wood stove (firewood extra or bring your own) Fully stocked kitchen with microwave, antique fridge, stove, oven and microwave. You only need to bring your food and drinks. Built in the 1940s and completely renovated in 2016, this cabin is a secluded and quiet retreat. The furnishings will remind you of how simple things were in the past. There is even an old outhouse! It's only 1.5 miles from Julian Center, so it's close but quiet. Many walk into town. Trails like the Old Banner Trail are abundant, and it's conveniently located near Volcan Mountain Preserve, a fantastic place to visit and hike. The ceramic wood stove gives it a very special ambiance. The clawfoot tub (and shower, too) is a big hit. There is a wonderful deck with patio furniture outside. Inside, there are many antiques and historical information about Julian to help you plan your stay. A Washer and dryer are in the shed for your use if needed. Hiking trails are close by. My favorite is the Old Banner Trail, which is within walking distance of the cabin and is open almost all the time. The location is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, blue jays, falcons, hawks, woodpeckers, roadrunners, hummingbirds, and many other species. Length of Stay: We gladly welcome longer stays. Please feel free to send an inquiry! If you want to get away from it all and have a quiet rest, this is the place. A high-quality hammock is also in the shed for your enjoyment. It is located between the two trees to the left of the shed and faces them. There is a propane BBQ. The first room next to the bathroom has a clawfoot tub and a new super comfortable queen-sized bed with plush bedding. It has its own TV with Disney and Amazon Prime. Also Youtube TV The second bedroom also features a new queen-size bed that is softer than firm, accompanied by plush bedding. Each bedroom features a TV with access to Amazon Prime and YouTube TV. Wifi is free! Just so you know, a separate charge of $25 applies for wood (if required). Please let us know if you would like to pay to use our wood or bring your own. Bring fire starters if you want to start a fire easily, or use twigs from the property. There is a Pet fee of $55 per pet per stay plus tax. Please keep pets off the beds and furniture to avoid additional cleaning fees. During the winter, when the weather is freezing, you will have to turn the water off outside the house to prevent the pipes from freezing. There is a nice mini split heater in the house. The amazing ceramic wood stove is not necessary, but it can be used to heat the home if desired. We have YouTube TV and Amazon Prime for free. If you buy or rent movies on our account, we will bill you plus a $2.50 service fee. If you wish to bring additional people after booking, a $20 per person per night charge applies. Have a very special stay and book early, as this cabin is in high demand! Guest access Entire house Cabin is for you exclusively and not shared Other things to note There is a code to enter the house that will be sent 2 days before arrival The bathroom is off the master Bedroom so that means that whoever is sleeping elsewhere in the house must go through the master bedroom to get to the only bathroom. Storage shed with washer/Dryer on site. No hot water or heat in the shed. Hiking trails nearby A/C and heater in unit as well as a wood burning stove If you want to use our firewood during the stay there is an additional fee $15. Just let us know. There is also a $45 fee for each pet, just let us know so we can add to the reservation. There is a security camera on the property that only looks onto the entrance. Feel free to unplug if you want. Just plug back in when you leave. SUMMER... If there are high winds or fire danger the electricity can be shut off by the power company. This is beyond our control. We cannot issue any refunds for things beyond our control. We do have a generator that we will try to setup if this occurs for minimal needs. During the winter you will have to shut off the water which you can see a sign that says "shut off water". If you stand at the top of the paved driveway and look toward the street you will see the water meter in the ground. The valve is in the box and you only have to turn is a quarter turn to turn it on and off. If you do not shut off in freezing weather you will not have water the next day. We do not have a jacuzzi but there is a cast iron tub in the bathroom with bubble bath for your enjoyment. If you would like the cleaners to come clean during your stay that is an extra fee. Please inquire if you would like this service. Please keep pets off of the furniture or beds. If we have to do additional cleaning a added cleaning fee of $50 will be charged to wash Duvet, comforter, blankets or have other furniture cleaned due to pet hair or dander.
