Description
Immersed in the ancient Gondwana Rainforest, The Creek House is a secluded sanctuary for two. Fall asleep to the sounds of the babbling creek and wake to wallabies, kookaburras, and perhaps a shy platypus. The highlight is an unforgettable, completely private outdoor shower perched right over the water. Enjoy a true chef’s kitchen, a cosy electric fireplace, and two private decks. Powered by the sun and pure rainwater, this is modern luxury with a lighter footprint. The space WHY YOU WILL LOVE THE CREEK HOUSE: • THE UNFORGETTABLE OUTDOOR SHOWER: Perched right over the creek with a protective roof and adjustable shutters. Guests call it the "best shower of their life"—a completely private, exhilarating experience immersed in the rainforest. • WILDLIFE & CREEK SOUNDS: Your bedroom is just metres from the water. Fall asleep to the soothing, constant soundtrack of the creek and share the grounds with wallabies, echidnas, and the elusive platypus. • COSY INTERIORS & ENTERTAINMENT: Tucked into the cool shade of the canopy, the cabin features bright, uplifting decor. Curl up on the huge sofa by the electric fireplace, or enjoy endless entertainment on the 65" 4K Apple TV on rainy days. • A TRUE CHEF'S KITCHEN & TWO DECKS: Consistently praised as exceptionally well-equipped, making it a joy to prepare delicious meals. Follow the rhythm of the day: catch the morning sun and fire up the BBQ on the side deck, or retreat to the shaded creek-front veranda to read and disconnect. • UNMATCHED COMFORT & CLEANLINESS: Sleep deeply in an 'insanely comfortable' king bed with a full bespoke pillow menu. Your professionally cleaned haven features fresh, high-quality linens and plush, premium bath towels. • A PET-FRIENDLY SANCTUARY: We warmly welcome your furry friends, who will love relaxing on the deck while you watch the water flow. • A LIGHTER FOOTPRINT: Powered by the sun (with mains backup) and serviced by pure rainwater, your stay offers sustainable luxury. We are a world away, yet just 25 minutes from the famous Doma Café in Federal. A NOTE ON OUR RAINFOREST RETREAT: The Creek House shares our beautiful, expansive acreage with our second cabin, The Pool House. While they are located near each other on the property, both homes have been thoughtfully oriented to face opposite directions—ensuring your outdoor shower and creek-side decks remain your own private, secluded sanctuary. Guest access You will have exclusive and uninterrupted access to the entire Creek House and its private deck. Being right on the water's edge, you are welcome to step outside and explore the beautiful, babbling creek that flows past your retreat. Our property is home to two separate retreats. To ensure absolute privacy for everyone, we kindly ask that you enjoy the Creek House and its immediate surroundings, and refrain from approaching the other dwelling (the Pool House). We ensure its guests do exactly the same, giving you complete peace and seclusion. For those wanting a longer walk or to explore further along the creek, there is an additional walking path on the property. You'll find the entrance to this path directly opposite the caravan. Parking is also provided for your convenience in the carport attached to the Creek House. Other things to note A WARM WELCOME FOR PETS We genuinely love hosting your furry friends! To ensure the retreat remains pristine for all guests, we just ask you to follow a few house rules. FURNITURE: Please keep pets off beds and sofas. If you know your pet loves to cuddle, you must bring your own blankets to cover our furniture completely. CANE TOADS: As with any rural property in this area, cane toads may be present. Their poison is highly toxic to dogs. Please ensure your pet is supervised at all times and does not interact with any toads. RAT BAIT: We use pet-proof bait stations to manage rodents, which are a natural part of the ecosystem. While securely placed, it is still possible for a dog to find a poisoned rodent. We kindly ask that you keep an eye on your pet and contact a vet immediately if they show any signs of illness. CLEANLINESS: Please clean up after your pet, both inside and out. To avoid extra cleaning fees, please ensure pets are clean and dry before coming inside. SPECIAL OFFER FOR PET PARENTS We love seeing your pets enjoying their vacation! Share a great photo or video of them from their stay on social media, and we'll refund their nightly pet fee. Here’s how: 1. Post a public photo or video. 2. Tag @SnowsCreekRetreat on FB or Insta and use the hashtag #SnowsCreekAndPaws. 3. Set your location to Snows Creek Retreat. 4. Send us a link (through the social media account) to your post! THE JOURNEY TO YOUR RETREAT Our beautiful, secluded location is part of the magic. The final stretch of the journey is on a classic unsealed hinterland road. It's well-maintained and suitable for any standard 2WD or 4WD vehicle, but we advise taking it slow to enjoy the scenery and navigate any bumps. Be aware that our local wildlife (wallabies and birds) are not car-savvy and can be unpredictable, so please drive with care, especially at dawn and dusk. CONNECTIVITY IN THE HINTERLAND To help you fully unwind, please note there is not much mobile phone reception in our valley. We highly recommend turning on your "Wi-Fi Calling" feature before you arrive; our fast Wi-Fi will then allow your phone to work seamlessly. Please have your driving directions loaded before you leave the nearest town. KEEPING YOUR SANCTUARY PERFECT To ensure the property is always at its best, our maintenance team may need to visit during your stay. This includes our gardener or lawn mowing person. Your privacy is their absolute priority. They are professional, discreet, and trained to work in a way that minimises any impact on your stay. Registration Details PID-STRA-42441
