Every animal has very different needs and we take these into account without exception! The well-being of the animals is our number one and we do not bother to allow our animals a beautiful life down to old age. In a wonderful, sunny location with impressive mountain and lake views, female cattle (no dairy cows), cuddly sheep, naughty rabbits, big guinea pigs, our adventurous cat Bert and the lovely farm dog Aira have found a very nice home! Here you can get an idea of our animals and hopefully get to know them in real life! Our family tip: All animal encounters should always be accompanied by the watchful eyes of their parents or grandfather/grandmother. This allows your children, but also our farm animals, to have unforgettable experiences and really enjoy the encounters! Enjoy sun and the lush grass Not only vacation guests enjoy the sun here. From May to October, our cowshed is empty, because in summer the cattle enjoy the juicy fresh grass directly on the pastures around the Salenberghof. Two breeds can be found with us: the Fleckvieh and the Allgäu Braunvieh. The attitude of the animals is regularly controlled and the strict guidelines for organic certification are not only met but exceeded by us. Do you already know our “Rodner WG”? The spacious stable for rabbits and guinea pigs is a great way to meet holiday guests and farm animals! Children can visit the Nager-WG, accompanied by your parents or grandpa/grandma, and pet our sweet nager. In the beautiful enclosure, summer and winter a colorful mix of guinea pigs and giant rabbits rage. A species-appropriate attitude of the animals is guaranteed: our trusting rodents can hide in wooden houses, explore the grounds and tunnels and have plenty of space to play with each other. Unlike rabbits are building rabbits corridors and they love to dig! That's why it was very important for us to offer the animals many opportunities to live out this natural behavior. The guinea pigs even have a separate compartment to retreat to if they want their peace and quiet. So a really harmonious "WG life" can take place - with many beautiful encounters between animal and man. Our farm animals are allowed to enjoy their lives to the fullest and age in Würde. Curious sheep count The lovely Allgäu mountain sheep Klara, Heidi and Harald can be found with their fluffy friends most of the time grazing on the meadow in front of the open stable. In addition to the mountain sheep, we also keep camera safe, Krainer Steinschafe and Ouessantschafe. Did you know that the Ouessant sheep is the smallest sheep terrace in Europe and that cameropia are not shaved? Our Krainer stone sheep, on the other hand, are known for their beautiful mixed wool and are unfortunately on the red list. Through the keeping of the cold sheep, we thus support the preservation of an endangered breed! A mixed stove was the best choice for us to give you a little insight into the variety of sheep terraces as holiday guests! Discovering our velvet pans "Miau, I'm a hangover Bert from the Salenberghof and I love lounging in the sun!" When our hangover doesn't just do it over the farm and explore the area, he prefers to stay with our grandma Rosi by the tile stove and makes it really cozy. A gracious loner who has been complementing our farm family for many years! An animal-like story: Our farm dog “Aira” Many years ago, our dear farm dog “Aira” made the way from Spain to beautiful Allgäu through a recognized animal welfare organization. She has been with us since her “youth days” and has since enriched our farm life with her loving, bustling nature. When she doesn't accompany farmer Stefan or farmer Stefanie, she runs freely around the farm grounds. She is happy about petting sessions, but she is not happy - like you and me - to be annoyed! The total price includes the final cleaning as well as bed linen and towels. If you spend more than 10 nights with us on your vacation, you may receive a free towel and linen change.
