Description
Quiet and hidden, our Wald & See holiday flat offers you a retreat for your relaxing holiday. It is within walking distance of Lake Edersee and the forests of the Kellerwald National Park high above the lake in Edertal-Bringhausen. The light accompanies you throughout the day. In the morning it greets you in the conservatory, wanders around the house during the day until you enjoy the last rays of sunshine on the terrace in the evening with a good meal and a glass of wine. The space The village of Bringhausen Surrounded by the waters of Lake Edersee to the north and the forests of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park, the village of Bringhausen lies high above the lake. Water sports enthusiasts will find an ideal starting point for their hobby here with boat hire, a bathing area and the opportunity to launch their boat into the water. For hikers, it is only a few hundred metres to the start of the primeval forest trail, which takes you right into the heart of the national park. Cyclists can experience wonderful routes of all levels of difficulty along the shores of Lake Edersee and on the heights of the Kellerwald forest. Various restaurants, a boat hire centre and a surfing and sailing school can be found in the village, and numerous leisure activities are within easy reach. Despite the many possibilities, Bringhausen offers you the peace and relaxation you want for your holiday thanks to its location without through traffic. The holiday home The holiday home is located within walking distance between the forest and the lake on the outskirts of Bringhausen on a small hill, completely surrounded by old beech and oak trees, which almost completely obscure the view of the house in summer. Only when you enter the driveway of the property can you get a first glimpse of the Mediterranean-style house behind a sparse beech grove. The solidly built house has two residential units with separate entrances. The flat on the ground floor is rented to holiday guests, the flat on the upper floor and attic is used by us. A level gravel path leads you under trees to the south-west side of the house. There you reach the entrance to the holiday flat via a large, travertine-covered terrace. A narrow path leads around the conservatory to another terrace on the south-east side of the house. The light will accompany you throughout the day in the flat. In the morning, it shines in through the conservatory windows and travels around the house throughout the day until the last rays of sunshine on the terrace and in the kitchen bid farewell to the day in the evening. Nevertheless, the flat is pleasantly cool even on hot days thanks to the shady trees, even without air conditioning. The flat Located on the ground floor of the house, the holiday flat offers around 60 square metres of comfortable space for two people. You enter the flat via the door to the large south-west-facing terrace after entering an individual number code that is only valid for you. To the right is the large, fully glazed conservatory, straight ahead is the brightly coloured open-plan living and kitchen area. The floors throughout the flat are covered with Italian terracotta tiles, all the walls are finished with a light-coloured lime plaster and the doors are painted white. Maritime accents in the living room, kitchen and bathroom create a connection to the water and the lake. A wide sofa and two Acapulco chairs invite you to sit comfortably and chat or watch a video or TV evening in front of the Smart TV. In the conservatory you will find a leather-covered rocking chair with footstool and reading lamp, where you can reminisce about the day's adventures in the evening sun. The fully equipped kitchen with oven, extractor bonnet, induction hob and dishwasher invites you to cook together. Afterwards, you can enjoy your evening meal on the terrace or at the large glass table in the kitchen area. The darkened sleeping area of the flat is separated from the living area by a wall with illuminated portholes. A comfortable 160 cm wide box-spring bed with mattresses of different firmness levels H2 and H3 promises a peaceful and restful night's sleep. Earth and green tones dominate here and create a reference to the nearby forest. The forest motif is also reflected in the illuminated exterior light well. A small hallway with wall mirror and wardrobe leads through the living room into the bathroom. A level-access rain shower, a modern washbasin and direct and indirect LED lighting with colour change options offer you the comfort you desire. The flat is completed by a separate storage room with wall cupboard and safe, fast Wi-Fi access (50 Mbit), smart TV and an audio system with SONOS technology. Senseo and filter coffee machine, toaster and hairdryer are of course also available, and the bedroom and bathroom are fitted with mosquito screens on the windows. Two terraces totalling almost forty square metres in the south-east and south-west of the flat allow you to enjoy the sun all day long or find a shady spot. In bad weather, the conservatory is your light-flooded retreat. Outside you will find two sun loungers with parasols, a large dining table with four chairs and a small seating area on the south-east side of the flat. A charcoal kettle barbecue allows you to prepare delicious barbecue specialities. You can round off the evening on the terrace with a good glass of wine, lit by candles. You will discover the greatest treasure of the flat - the peace and quiet. Apart from the occasional snorting of horses in the neighbouring pasture, the hammering of a woodpecker or the chattering of geese, you will hear almost nothing all evening.
