Bamboo Roost: Eco-farm Retreat at Kaluna Farm

Perched above the gardens and tucked behind a living screen of bamboo, The Bamboo Roost is a warm, cozy second-story retreat at the forest edge of our working organic farm. Finished in heartwood pine, the space offers a peaceful setting for reading and quiet conversation, with a private porch wrapped in bamboo for added seclusion. The Roost includes a bedroom, pull-out couch, small kitchen, and private half bath, with full bathrooms located directly below in our farm bathhouse. The space We are the sixth generation to homestead this beautiful land. Our history is colorful, and so are our fields. This is a magical place to those who love lush bottom lands and creeks galore. We have two pre-civil war log cabins, a round house, greenhouses, orchards, chickens, friendly farm animals, and much more. Our spring is famous for delicious refreshing water goodness. We are close to Atlanta and many trails in the Ellijay area. And Carter's lake is around the corner. This is a beautiful natural get-away and active farm. If you need more space, we also have Kaluna's Authentic Log Cabin, Kaluna's Farm House, Kaluna’s Treehouse Sanctuary and Kaluna’s Wooden Yurt also listed on AirBnB. Guest access Guest are welcome to explore the farm as long as they can stay on paths and out of garden beds. We do ask that you do not enter buildings that you are not occupying, unless invited in by others. Other things to note Valentine’s stays (Feb 6–15, 2026) include our seasonal Valentine’s package, already built into the nightly rate. We have additional spaces available for rent: Kaluna's Authentic Log Cabin (sleeps one couple), Kaluna’s Wooden Yurt (sleeps up to 8 people), Kaluna's Farm House (sleeps up to 10 guests) and Kaluna's Treehouse Sanctuary (sleeps one couple).
