Description
Business groups are welcome for day or overnight stays. The Woodlands Chalet is located at 9000' elevation with views of Sierra Blanca. Our kitchen is fully stocked, and we have beautiful furnishings. We even have a nursery for your new baby. Families enjoy our backyard, in the Lincoln National Forest. You will see wild animals out of the large windows. Our cleaning is impeccable. We are priced for those who appreciate beauty, serenity, family memories and quality surroundings. That's Us. The space Main floor - Master suite with ensuite upgraded bathroom, spa tub, walk in shower with curb. The two other upstairs bedrooms have ensuite full baths, walk in closet. One has a queen bed, baby crib and changing table. The third bedroom has a king bed with a forest view in the back yard. We have the "Super Kitchen" that any chef would enjoy. It is fully stocked with all the amenities you will need. Granite, stainless steel and custom cabinets. The large dining room has windows to view the wildlife in the forest, out of our back yard. Truly luxurious in every way for your enjoyment and comfort Our guests love staying here at the Woodlands Chalet. The interior is well appointed, and the great outdoors invites you to come out and explore. Large driveways and free street parking. The Chalet is 2 story and each of the 2 driveways access a different level; one brings you into the main floor and the other takes you to the lower level. We have 1 personal RV's parked on the lower driveways (not for rent). Cameras: Professional video monitoring,( voice, motion activating) on the front parking areas and the rear boundary of the Lincoln National Forest catching the action of our wildlife. Front deck runs across the Chalet facing Sierra Blanca Mountain at 11,973 feet high, is the tallest mountain in Southern New Mexico. Here you will find a very comfortable seating to enhance the viewing (in season). Don’t be surprised to see a steady stream of bats at sunset in the summer. The rear deck offers a gas (propane) grill and seating (in season) to enjoy an awesome perspective of our forest. The Main Floor consists of an elegant and spacious Living Room with a fireplace, game table, oversized wingback chairs, leather recliner sofa and beautiful area rugs overlaying the hardwood floors. The open architecture leads you into the dining room where the breakfast bar seats three and the beautiful wood dining table seats eight. You will enjoy the large pictures windows, capturing the beautiful view of the Lincoln National Forest, just steps away. The fourth bedroom is our family bedroom with one king size bed and two twins, with an adjacent full bath, granite counter top and custom cabinetry. located off the recreational downstairs area. Plus a 5th bedroom that has 1 king and 1 double bed. ****The 5th bedroom is opened only with 13 to 17 guests. Additionally, for a fee, 2 folding beds can be added in this space. Please note: Base price for the Woodlands Chalet is 6 persons. Each additional guests are $60.00 x number of nights in your reservation, includes adults, children and infants, regardless of ages. Reservation for number of guests must be totaled before arrival and paid in full. The recreational room has billiard table, foosball table, game tables, a 55” Smart TV, Blue Ray DVD player and 50 DVDs, Roku, assorted card and board games. You will need to use your Amazon, Netflix, or other accounts. There is no cable network. We have excellent high speed WIFI for your streaming pleasure and business requirements. Our philosophy is: " A bit of luxury enhances the rugged beauty of the Lincoln National Forest." Other things to note: No in house laundry, no need for A/C, not available. Hiking and motorized trails abound throughout the Lincoln National Forest. The early railroad history is evident in Cloudcroft. We highly recommend the Village Museum and the Trestle (a replica of one of the many wooden structures erected so the train could navigate the numerous canyons along the route). Many restaurants offer great eating menus. Bakeries are located on Burro Street. Cloudcroft Brewery offer music and pizza. The Cloudcroft Ski area offers pizza and other food choices during the summer days. Tubing and skiing in the winter. Winter ice skating rink is located in the Village in the winter as well. Tennis in the park. Guest access Availability for bedroom access, is based on number of guests. The Chalet has 5 bedrooms, however all bedrooms may not be available to smaller groups. The base price per night is for 6 guests. Over 6 guests, the price is the "base price", plus $60.00 per person X # of nights per reservation. Sleeping arrangements are based on 2 person, per king or queen size beds. Twin beds, 1 person. We have available 1 sofa in the master suite that sleeps 1 person, plus 2 folding cots. Bedroom #2 Nursery and #5 will be available for larger groups. In quire with the host. If you have a large group that arrives or departs on different dates, they still pay for the number of nights at $60.00 X # of nights on the reservation. The person responsible for the reservation will be responsible for their guests and stay on the property during the dates reserved. No unregistered paying guests are allowed in the Chalet or on the property. No recreational vehicles are allowed on the property. Access to the door lock system is a self entry, and a code will be assigned by the host. Early check in or depart times will pay $35.00 per hour. Please inquire with the host to make arrangements. The Woodlands Chalet is not considered to be handicaps accessible. HOWEVER, the Chalet has 2 step up to the main entrance and 1 step up in the lower part of the home. Interior doors are wide. Master bathroom has a walk in shower with a short step up and a tile built-in seat, with shower sprayer. Deck access has not steps, once your into the Chalet. There is a staircase from the upper floor to the lower floor. Other things to note Some of the winter activities are the local ice skating rink and ski lift are located minutes away from the Chalet. During the summer, they offer oven baked pizza, salad and other items on their menu. Cloudcroft Brewery has oven baked pizza as well, music on some weekends. We have several good restaurants in the village. You can drive to several overlooks and see White Sands National Park. The space museum is located in Alamogordo, along with several pistachio farms to visit. In the fall, you can drive within a few miles to 40 miles around the Cloudcroft county roads to view the fall colors of the Aspen trees turning pink, and orange fall colors that are breathtaking. Hiking right onto trails from the village. ATV riding, jeep driving just a few miles from the Chalet. Zenith Park within the Village has tennis and pickle ball quarts, along with swings to play on and picnic table. Across the street is our "Sacrament Mountains Museum" where you can enjoy learning the history of our quaint Village and see the train trestle. So much to see and enjoy, while staying with us at the Woodlands Chalet luxury home for your rest and relaxation during your vacation. or drive through the Mescalero Apache Reservation, then onto Ruidoso for a day trip.
