About 3 minutes from the 485 exit getting you anywhere you need to go in Charlotte in less than 30 minutes. 5 minutes to historic downtown Matthews, a "hip" small town with great bars, restaurants, festivals, and a weekend farmers market. Uptown Charlotte is 22 minutes away (if you avoid rush hour). Walk or bike to Stallings Park, which has multiple playgrounds, tennis courts, and a water attraction in the summer. Jump in the car or bike about 1 mile to the Four Mile Creek trailhead, a laberinth of paved trails that winds around and behind multiple safe neighborhoods and even leads to downtown Matthews, where you can ride, jog, or walk around before heading back on the trail. Plenty of Charlotte Airbnbs appear to be well-located when looking at the map, but Matthews is the suburb that can't be beat if you're looking for a safe, family-friendly area offering best of the Charlotte metro area! There is a park & ride station in downtown Matthews that you could drive to and then take the bus into Charlotte. Well-behaved house pets MAY be allowed on a case-by-case basis with pet fee and a reasonable, refundable deposit. Please ask!
