Description

ANCESTRAL BUILDING (1847) AUTHENTIC STONE WALL 1 bedroom private apartment located in the city center. Easy access to the ground floor. Fully equipped for a pleasant stay (stove, fridge, microwave, kettle, cooking facilities, dishes). The apartment can accommodate 4 people (queen bed + 2 single beds) We have a lovely outdoor space for you to enjoy during your stay. Please note that there is a thermopompe nearby, which may produce some background noise Quiet hours 10pm-9am The space Neighborhood: The apartment is located in the bustling popular district of Saint Roch, where different social classes mix, which creates a dynamic neighborhood located not far from Old Quebec. The neighborhood is full of life with restaurants, bars and various shops. A particularly popular spot for foodies, the excellent restaurants adjoin the small neighborhood restaurants where you eat well at very good prices, while the microbreweries brew refreshing original beers. If you need recommendations for activities in the neighborhood, Quebec City and its surroundings, I will be happy to give you my favorite addresses so that you can experience the city like a local. We are proud to be in a neighborhood (Saint-Roch) which brings together a wide mix of social classes in its population. People in need benefit from a shelter for disadvantaged and homeless people as well as a soup kitchen in the neighborhood, so you will certainly come across people in need around the YMCA —— PARKING There are a few parking options nearby since we don’t own a parking spot: A. STREET PARKING: Street parking is free during the weekend on most streets (excluding st joseph st). During the week (monday to friday) the street parking is free on most of the streets after 5pm (excluding st Joseph st). The rest of the time it is 60 minutes free time slot parking from 9am until 5pm. You would have a move your car by one block every 60 minutes. You can park without the 60 minutes restriction from 4pm until 10am. Please send us a picture of the nearest sign to where you parked and if you’re on its the left or its right so we can tell you if you’re on a good spot and until when you’re ok. We don’t want you to get a fine! It’s forbidden to park about 2 meters around a fire hydrant. ***IMPORTANT: If the city plans on removing the snow from the streets during the night, you’ll see lights flashing (an orange P with a line across it) on the affected streets during the afternoon before the night of the snow removal operation. If it’s flashing, park you car in an inside payed parking or you’ll be towed and get a fine. We cannot be held responsible if you get towed.*** B. I recommend you park on the street behind the building (st francois St Est) or the streets on the block.
