Chalet of the dolomites a stone's throw from Cortina

Description

"Your holiday home in the heart of the Dolomites." An authentic mountain chalet, independent and full of character. Surrounded by the silence of the forest and the scent of larch trees, it opens onto one of the most enchanting views in the world: the majestic Dolomites. The cottage is located in the "Corte delle Dolomiti" complex, built in 1952, a unique place comprising approximately 200 chalets harmoniously nestled in nature, at an altitude of 1,200 meters. 025007-Loc-00169 IT025007C2F2BJRF2I The space The chalet unfolds across two floors, offering through its wide windows a breathtaking view of Mount Pelmo, bathed in the golden light of the Dolomite sun. The panoramic terrace opens onto the horizon of the surrounding peaks and the forest embracing the house, inviting moments of pure contemplation. Recently renovated to ensure modern comfort, the home proudly preserves its original mahogany furnishings. With their clean and timeless lines, designed in the 1950s by the renowned architect Edoardo Gellner, they still reflect today the visionary spirit that gave life to this “enchanted village.” On the ground floor, you’ll find the entrance, a cozy lounge with a pellet stove, sofa bed, and a walk-in closet—perfect for storing skis and boots after a day on the slopes. Upstairs, an elegant living room opens up, featuring a traditional Tyrolean Stube, another sofa bed, a 55’’ Ultra HD Smart TV, and a large dining table where time flows slowly and pleasantly. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen provides every convenience: dishwasher, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, blender, and refrigerator with freezer. From the living room, you can step out onto the wooden balcony, furnished with benches and armchairs, a peaceful corner embraced by the silence of the forest. Outdoors, the space is completed by a large table with umbrella for al fresco dining, and a comfortable L-shaped sofa, the perfect spot to admire the stars during the enchanted Dolomite nights. The sleeping area offers two bedrooms: one double room and one with a bunk bed and two single beds—ideal for children or a larger family. The floor also includes two modern bathrooms (one with shower), a separate shower room with hydromassage, and a small laundry room equipped with washing machine, vacuum cleaner, and iron. Wardrobes and drawers are available for storing personal belongings. The chalet also provides a private outdoor parking space, autonomous heating, and free Wi-Fi. Just a few minutes’ drive away, you’ll find the Corte SPA, a modern wellness center for those seeking relaxation, and the Bauce, a traditional mountain brewery where you can savor authentic flavors. Guest access Nestled in a vast forest of larches and firs, the chalet is the perfect starting point for enchanting walks in nature. In winter, the legendary ski slopes of the Dolomites in Cortina d’Ampezzo await you, seamlessly connected to the Dolomiti Superski carousel. In summer, the chalet becomes the ideal retreat for setting out on unforgettable hikes to the most beautiful mountain huts in the Dolomites. Marvels such as the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the romantic Lake Braies, the magical Lake Sorapis, the majestic Tofane, and Mount Cristallo are all within reach—paradises for trekking lovers and a feast for the eyes. The chalet is located just 15 minutes from the ski lifts of Cortina and 3 km from those of San Vito di Cadore. During the winter season, a convenient and efficient shuttle service departs directly from the Corte delle Dolomiti Village, connecting all the ski areas of the resort, from Borca di Cadore to Cortina, offering access to 140 km of slopes (service active from December 26). Just a few hundred meters from the house, the refined Corte SPA awaits you, with its swimming pool, solarium, and gym—an oasis of relaxation for both body and mind (open daily from 10 am to 9 pm, reservation recommended). Nearby, you will also find a traditional restaurant-brewery and a small riding school that enrich the alpine atmosphere. Cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the spectacular E1 – Long Dolomites Trail, a scenic bike path that runs through the village and connects Calalzo, Cortina, Dobbiaco, and San Candido, continuing into Austria for those wishing to go further. Climbing lovers, instead, will find the San Vito – Chiapuzza climbing gym just 6 km away. The chalet is part of the historic “Corte delle Dolomiti” complex, which provides maintenance and snow-clearing services. Within the village also stands a charming and elegant church, designed by the renowned architect Carlo Scarpa—an architectural jewel set amidst the forest. Other things to note From November 1st to April 30th, a supplement of €25 per day applies for heating and electricity, to be settled at the time of check-out. Starting March 1st, 2024, the Municipality of Borca di Cadore has introduced a tourist tax of €1,50 per person per night, up to a maximum of 7 nights; children under 12 are exempt. Inside the chalet, you will find the complete municipal regulations and updated rates, available for our guests to consult at any time. Registration Details IT025007C2F2BJRF2I
