The Lake Is Yours. Secluded, pet-welcoming 3BR/2BA ranch-style farmhouse with a private lake in Wild West Virginia. Kayak, pedal boat, fish, and gather by the fire pit as bald eagles soar overhead. Surrounded by state forest above river rapids, with some of the darkest skies on the East Coast for unforgettable stargazing. Waiver required for water activities. Where the only sounds are wind, water, and birdsong. A peaceful escape for families and couples. You're the only guests on 150 acres. The space We look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of Almost Heaven. Enjoy sweeping hilltop views and peaceful walks along the Little Kanawha River within our private, secluded, and gated 150-acre property. At night, experience extraordinary stargazing — the Milky Way shines brightly here, with skies as dark as nearby state and national forests. Fireflies flicker across the fields while bullfrogs echo from the water. The private lake offers abundant catch-and-release fishing (encouraged!), with limited tackle available. Relax at the lakeside gazebo or explore the water with two kayaks and a pedal boat. A waiver is required for water activities. You’ll be the only guests on the property, enjoying the lake entirely to yourselves. At the farmhouse, gather around the fire pit with complimentary firewood for campfires and s’mores. A Monument propane grill is available for outdoor cooking, and the updated Samsung gas range anchors a fully equipped kitchen designed for real meals — complete with cookware, grilling tools, small appliances, and everything the traveling chef needs to cook comfortably for family and friends. The ranch-style home features an enclosed 800 sq ft front porch, perfect for relaxing (and ideal for pets). Up to two pets are welcome, with fees included. Please note: fencing is designed for livestock, not pets. Covered parking for two vehicles is available, with space for up to six total. Gravel roads lead to the hilltop retreat. ATV trails are located 15 minutes away in Elizabeth, WV (no ATV riding on the farm). The tri-city area of Parkersburg and Vienna, WV, and Marietta, OH, is 40–50 minutes away, offering dining, shopping, and historic experiences like ghost tours at the Blennerhassett Hotel. Guest access Guests have access to the farmhouse building, private lake, lake gazebo, forest trails and Little Kanawha River. A waiver is required for river and lake usage such as kayaking, fishing and boating. Water activities and use of amenities are at your own risk. Other things to note Owners reside on property about 3/4 mile away and not visible to guests.
