It is under an hour to Luray Caverns or Front Royal, 11 min to Bryce Resort and 45 min to Massanutten Resort. HH offers everything you need to unwind with local wineries, trails and other adventures, AND without the heavy congestion of tourists. We invite you to kick back and relax with our extensive library or step outside to breathe in the mountain air on our 3 acre property! The space The theme of our house is R&R. Rest and Relaxation. While we do have a smart TV, there are plenty of other activities: unwind with a record, sip coffee on the front porch or watch the sunset, enjoy coloring books, puzzles, games for all ages and toys including legos for the kids! (Or the adults out there who like legos) Our library covers all genres you could imagine. From classics, to historical fiction, to economics, you name it. All books are open to borrow (take) as needed, except the two on the coffee table: Our Guestbook and HONY. The kitchen is fully stocked for all levels of cooking. We have your basics for baking, spices, and cooking oil. An assortment of cookware and utensils allows you to put something on to slow-cook, bake a frozen pizza or create a gourmet meal. Comfortable mattresses, endless pillows and cozy blankets await. You will get a restful night of sleep with only the sounds of the birds to wake you. We do have a washer and dryer for laundry services for stays longer than 2 nights. Please contact us on instructions for access to the basement. Our basement is unfinished, so it is only accessible if you need to do laundry. Guest access First floor of house - 1200 sqft Other things to note To pick up any groceries you need, make a quick stop in either Woodstock or Mount Jackson on the way in from 81. Both towns are about 20 minutes from the house. We can recommend restaurants as well, but all are at least a 20 min drive from the house, so having some groceries is recommended.
