Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay within Exmoor National Park, just a few miles from the highest point, Dunkery Beacon. Westcott Cross Cottage, Luxborough (West Somerset) is a fabulous detached home within a large, private and enclosed garden with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and provides excellent walking directly from the door. The property sleeps up to 7 guests (plus baby in cot) in 4 bedrooms. The space The ground floor is mostly open plan with lounge and kitchen areas separated by central back-to-back inglenooks housing an Aga range on one side and a wood-burner on the other. Beams and joists are exposed throughout. There's a large, heated, welly and coat-drying entrance porch, which opens into the dining area and the kitchen. Beside the kitchen is a round turret area housing a breakfast table. There's a downstairs loo, power shower, and utility room. Upstairs there are four bedrooms housing comfortable single to emperor-sized beds. One room is ensuite with shower, loo and washbasin and there's a family bathroom too. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house and gardens. Other things to note There is high speed internet accessible via wifi throughout the property. There is an outside dog kennel with straw available. A 'basket' of logs is provided for each log-burner and we can supply extras at £5/bag or they can be bought at local shops and petrol stations. All the home basics are provided - for example loo rolls, cleaning materials, dishwash tablets, washing powder, wash up liquid, hand soap, etc. On the cooking front - salt, pepper, sugar, flour, some herbs and spices and fresh herbs in the garden.
