Escape to this peaceful Northwest retreat set on a park-like 5-acre property complete with fully stocked fishing pond, private trails around pond and outdoor deck off apartment with peek a boo views of Sequim Bay. There's a lovely kitchen for preparing meals, two comfy queen beds, and a cozy fireplace to enjoy in the evenings. Birder's and photographers will love this natural setting. Located just a short drive from quaint downtown Sequim & Olympic Discovery Trail. Enjoy day trips/hikes in ONP. The space Forget Me Not Cottage has its own private entrance and deck overlooking tall cedar trees, the serene valley below and a peek a boo water view of Sequim Bay in the distance (no pond view). This charming cottage is attached to a detached garage and shares the property with the owner's home located across the drive from the cottage. On the outside deck, soak in the views of the colorful sunrises over morning coffee or grilling up a steak for dinner in the evening. Inside, the cottage has an open living space with beautiful wood floors, cozy furniture, plenty of natural light from the overhead skylights and a well-equipped kitchen stocked with pots/pans, dishes, utensils, a coffeepot, an electric range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, blender and cooking oil/basic spices. Enjoy reading or watching a movie by the fire in the evenings (Presto logs only). Both bedrooms have comfy queen beds and the single bath has a stand alone shower with plenty of towels. Outside: The pond is a short walk through the cedar trees or across the drive and during the day we invite you to enjoy exploring the property on the well-kept trails, trying your luck catching a rainbow trout from the dock (Catch and release only, fishing poles provided upon request) or lounging by the small sandy beach (no swimming allowed in pond). A lovely picnic area with an outdoor firepit is set up adjacent to the pond and an additional picnic area is located amidst the trees just up from the dock with a lovely view of the pond. The dock has all new outdoor entertainment seating, perfect for reading a book or soaking up some sun! We have free parking for up to 2 vehicles in front of the garage bays. We do keep days blocked before and after arrivals/departures for cleaning/sanitizing. If you would like a longer stay, please inquire with dates and we can check availability. Guest access Parking is available directly in front of garage bays that are attached to the cottage. The key is located in a lockbox located on the lower railing of deck (you will see it from the first parking bay next to steps). Other things to note During the months of June through September we have a 3 night minimum but are open to longer weekly rentals. Also, we only accept bookings with children over the age of 12. The pond and trails do pose a risk and the cottage is not suitable for young children. It is important that you understand and agree to this policy before booking. There is a horse barn and arena also located on the property that is NOT a part of the rental and is only for the homowner's private use.
