Welcome to camp life on East Pond. A 1 bedroom home located in Oakland Maine. Your quiet weekend getaway awaits you. Located in central Maine. You will be about a 60 mile drive to the coast or about a 70 foot walk to the lake. Oakland is just a 20 minute drive to Waterville where both Colby and Thomas Colleges are located. East Pond is the host of several area summer camps. The camp will give you beautiful views of the lake. Sit on the deck and enjoy the loons and other lake activity. The space The camp is accessed by a camp road that is perfect for a morning jog or a relaxing stroll. The camp is a great place to get ready for one of the many weddings that Camp Manitou and Camp Somerset host. Other things to note There are 2 kayaks available to borrow Memorial Day through Labor Day weather permitting. There are life jackets available that must be worn or at least carried with you when you go out on the water per Maine state laws. A popular day trip for many of our guests has been the Maine Cabin Masters Gift shop and brewery which is about a 30 minute drive from here.
