Twin Oak
The Twin Oak cabin has been recently renovated, and is identical to and just past our Big Pine cabin. The Twin Oak is more secluded, with a short but steep driveway. Couples often prefer this cabin because it is more hidden at the end of the road. Because of the driveway, guests pulling any type of trailer prefer our Big Pine cabin. If the Twin Oak is selected, a trailer can be parked behind the cabin or at the top of the driveway. How often do you find a cabin bordering a nearly 2,000 acre state park, with beautiful hardwoods and well-marked trails for hiking or mountain biking? Just 3 miles down the road are more trails, plus a 200 acre lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. So many recreation opportunities are available for hikers, bikers, hunters, boaters, swimmers, and fishermen. But if you choose to never leave the cabin, enjoying yourself grilling, watching movies, or sitting around a campfire. If supplies are needed, the city of Athens is less than 15 minutes away, with unique shopping opportunities, eclectic museums, and one-of-a-kind restaurants who emphasize using local ingredients in their offerings. Guests can access hiking trails right from the cabin, or drive about 3 miles down to the lake for many more outdoor activities. There should be no exploring or hunting on the property. Maps, directions, and information regarding trails, boat rentals, swimming, restaurants, shopping, etc. are all provided at the cabin. Feel free to ask for recommendations! Guests may park in driveway. Driveway is steep. During snowy or icy conditions, guests are advised to park at the top of the driveway.
