River Ridge Cottage

Enjoy the serenity of a country setting on the Yellow River in Spooner, Wisconsin. This cozy cottage offers 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, washer and dryer, a full kitchen and a rustic living room with a wood stove for warmth and ambiance. Outdoors you have a patio for dining and a fire pit for relaxing after taking in all Spooner has to offer. Located just a few minutes from the Spooner Lake boat landing and the Spooner Golf Course. ATV and snowmobile trails accessible directly from the property. The space Affectionately referred to as "the cottage," the guesthouse is more of a red barndominium. When you enter the property, take your first left at the "River Ridge Cottage" sign. Follow the sidewalk to your entrance door. Other buildings on the property include a large garage, a navy blue shed and our home. We have ample room for parking of your toys--whether boats, trailers, UTV's--please let us know what you will be bringing and we'll instruct you where the best place to park is. Although we love kids and pets, we do not allow them at the property. Guest access Please take the short trail down to the Yellow River and feel free to use the patio and beach by the river. Hosts do live on the property so you might see us out and about. Other things to note You will be sent a welcome guide a few days before your arrival with directions to the property. Please use those directions as plugging the address into a GPS or other map source, it will more than likely take you to our neighbor's place. There is a binder on the island that contains helpful information about the cottage, house rules and tidbits about Spooner. Please take a few minutes to read through it. The grill is both propane and charcoal. We will supply the propane tank--please shut it off after you are done using the grill. If you would like to use the charcoal side, please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Use of the outdoor firepit and/or indoor wood burning stove requires that a waiver be signed and we request you notify us before your arrival if you intend to use either one. Outdoor firewood is available for purchase or you may bring your own if it is certified from Wisconsin. Firewood for the wood burning stove must be purchased from us to insure that it is seasoned hardwood. Bundles are large and only $5. Please note, we love kids and pets, but we do not allow them at the cottage for various safety reasons and property features.
